PEARL IZUMI Men's X-alp Journey Cycling Shoe

I ordered size 14 (49), and they fit well. I had an older pair of Pearl Izumi mountain biking shoes that used three straps to close. The older shoes were tight across the top strap and narrow through the ball of my foot, so they also rubbed on a ride longer than 30-40 minutes. The new shoes have room in the tow box, can be easily adjusted across the top of the foot, and felt great after more than an hour of riding. I also put our bikes on the bike rack and walked around a big box store for a while, on the way home from the lake trail.Side note-I use CrankBrothers cleats and pedals, and I was slightly worried about clipping and unclipping, but I had no trouble with them, once I figured out exactly where to line the shoes up with the pedals.

Took a chance by ordering on like because the shoe looked like a tennis shoe rather than a biking shoe. I was concerned due to wide feet, but they fit amazing good. I also broke then in on a 26 mile ride, which I usually won't do but they performed well. I do wish there was a little more adjustment with the laces it is loosened as far as it can be for it to fit my feet. So in addition to using these shoes for my road bike I wear them for a spin bike. I am glad I made the purchase and have had several others look them over and are interested in purchasing some too. Good buy and would recommend for others.

I am a woman who purchased this show because women's cycling shoes tend to be too narrow (normally 7.5 US woman's shoe, Birkenstocks in 38, purchased the 39). These fit me fine and have had a couple of long rides now and they did great. However, I would have expected slightly more width considering I was purchasing the men's shoe.

but they are a great investment for me. These shoes check all the boxes I needed when looking for a hybrid MTB shoe. I can walk on dry or wet surfaces without any issues. They clip in nicely to my hybrid Wellgopedals.My foot measures a 10.5 on the Brannock foot size at the store and I ordered a 44 which fits nice.BTW, the soles are stiff until you remove the plate from the bottom. Once removed it I found a balance between walkable and rideable.Very happy, recommended !

Fits as expected. I wear 11 to 11.5 and got a 45. Little loose in the toes but I have thine feat so it is common. Love the lacing system. Went on a 13 mile bike ride out of the box and they felt great.

The rubber sole is soft and grips well on rocks. That was the reason I purchased them. I ride a lot of rocky, technical trails so I wanted a shoe that when I have to step off the bike, I will have good traction. The extra benefit is that even with my SPD's I can walk around normally in this shoe instead of feeling like the front of my foot is way higher than the back of my foot. Super comfortable and breathable. Great shoe so far.

Comfortable and lightweight shoe that does everything I expect. I am not a big fan of the lacing on the shoe and would prefer regular laces or at least one velcro strap. Occasionally during a ride, I will have to stop and tighten or loosen the shoes as it is hard to gauge how tight the laces are at first.

Beautiful shoe actually but mine didn't fit. The real problem however is that the cleats to clip in with protrude from the sole and stick out... therefore, when you walk around (as you would with Mountain Biking) you are really walking on the clip.

Son un muy pero muy buen producto. Yo siempre quise tenis (zapatillas como algunos les dices) para rodar que me dieran todas las prestaciones de un par convencional con la forma de tenis más deportivos. Y estos pares me solucionaron el problema. Es más voy al gym en bici con estos pareces y puedo hacer todo mi rutina con ellos sin problema. Para pistas reales aún así se comportan de maravilla.
