Dakine Women’s Eve Backpack – Large Cooler Pocket – Laptop Sleeve – 28L

Bought this backpack after my previous one began to hurt my back due to the large amount of textbooks I need to carry for school. I love how the laptop sleeve gives a little extra cushion to protect my computer. The second-to-the-front zipper pouch works great to put all my purse-related items in (tissues, lip balm, wallet, earphones, etc.) and holds a lot more than I thought it would. I absolutely love the insulated compartment, it is so helpful! I can fit a large salad lunchbox, a protein bar, and some snacks in it all at the same time with no problem. On one occasion, my lunchbox leaked salad dressing all over the pouch, but because of the great quality in this backpack, it never touched anything else in my backpack! Super easy to clean out with soap and some paper towels. Best of all, I am able to carry much more in this bag (multiple textbooks, notebooks, binders of various sizes, etc.) than I could in my previous one, without all of the back pain!

I bought one of these backpacks in the pattern Dylon back in 2013 for high school (I was entering my freshman year) and it held up really well. I'm not particularly nice or gentle with my bags, so I'm really impressed by how long it's managed to survive. By the end of my senior year, the backpack has experienced some wear and tear in the lining of the largest pocket (particularly on the laptop sleeve) and the cooler pocket. Keep in mind, however, that this is after 4 years of constant use and ungentle treatment, and the outside itself is still in one piece.Because of how long and how well it has managed to hold up, I recently ordered another Dakine Eve backpack for my college years (this time in the pattern Vero). The main reason why I'm retiring my old bag is because I want a new pattern, not because the old backpack is unusable. It's my opinion that Dakine truly is a great backpack brand and it hasn't upset me yet.I'll be sure to post some pictures of the new backpack once I receive it.EDIT: I've added photos of the Vero patterned backpack. It looks good - not as blue as shown in the picture, more of a gray tone, but I like it. I will edit this review again in the future once I've used it for a while.

Needed to replace my old backpack that traveled with me everywhere on trips and found this one. I liked the inner compartments, a protective space for a laptop, a side holder for a water bottle, and even a small cooler compartment for day snacks. I also love the over-the-shoulder straps that fit my shoulders well. Very comfortable, slimmer backpack for girls/women.

I spent a lot of time looking for a backpack, like I do with most things. There (at the time of purchase) were no pics of the inside of this backpack, so I felt like I was taking a small risk. So I'm posting pics for others to see. Has a lot of pockets and the insulated front pocket really does keep food cold (about as well as a standard lunchbox). Also has a bonus pocket on top.I'm very happy with the purchase!

As a college student, I bought this in hopes that it was lightweight, comfortable, and could serve to carry my laptop. As far as laptop space goes, there is more than enough for my 13" macbook. It sits flat even when it is full of notepads and books and the straps are really comfy. The inside is also nicely lined, the zippers don't stick, and the pattern is exactly what I was expecting. The whole reason I got a new backpack was because the old one was way too bulky and uncomfortable and this seems to be the perfect replacement.The only downfall I have found so far is the fact that they put a sticker on the front face advertising a temperature control zipper section which is fine until you try and peel it off and it turns into a sticky mess. There is still some residue that I am trying to figure out how to get off. Not super noticeable but I don't want it to be sticky when I carry it around.

I was having a really hard time deciding which backpack that I wanted. The sizes were really confusing me because I didn't want a backpack that was too big or too small. I needed a fairly large backpack because I am in nursing school and books are heavy! This bag was perfect size and doesn't look too large on my 5'3 frame. The backpack is very comfortable and the laptop section is very roomy.Lastly the Ellie print is super cute but also professional. I really love this backpack. It's great quality and I feel like it will last me a very long time!

This book bag is amazing. Sturdy bottom, great roomy pockets and it does not look bulky or like a turtle back when full. It also has a buckle in the from to support the back and to distribute the weight of the bag more evenly throughout your upper body. It was an upgrade from the Prom 25L one that I got with the same pattern (wallflower) even though I had a previous Prom that was of better quality than the ones they have now. Either way, this bag is 28L but will look better and function better.

I thought there'd be more contrast as far as the pink and red colors - there is none. So, it just looks like a solid maroon color bag. But, it does its job so that's good. I carry a lot of stuff as a graduate student - and this can definitely accommodate the load. I carry my laptop, a few notebooks, books, supplies and food with no problem. I just wish it looked a little different but that's ok.

Just the right size and the right amount of compartments! Very pleased with the look and feel of this backpack and looking forward to using it traveling!

I purchased this to replace my work purse and am very happy with it. The bag is sleek and feminine. Ive gotten a bunch of compliments on it.

I had a Dakine backpack for almost 3 years that is still in great condition, but I was ready for a different pattern.

Use this every day...awesome pack for laptop and all of the usual.

It arrived quickly and has room for everything. I use it for work to tote my laptop. It has also taken the place of carrying a separate lunch bag and my purse.

Exactly as described. Wife loved it. Especially the color pattern. Uses it for everything. Mostly packing kids stuff for day trips. Works great and holds water bottles.

I love my bag! It's pretty and the straps are comfortable. I haven't used it much, but am looking forward to using it on my next trip.
