A big win for our cats
I saw this on one of those "My Cat From Hell" shows and knew one of our cats would love it. Turns out all three love it, even the two12 year old cats. It finally gets them running rather than just watching/ambushing. It's designed so the feathers spin around like helicopter blades when pulled throught the air. It's like a bird or flying insect and immediately gets their attention. The buzzing when you spin it fast really drives them wild. There's a button on the handle that reels the line back... very, very fast. It can also be a way to play, but if it's in their mouths at the time it could hurt them so we're careful with that. I've bought several.Like all feather toys the feathers will get broken eventually. I'm hoping they'll start selling the feather ends separately because it's made to easily replace the end toy.

Cat LOVES this toy
I've had cat cord toys before that my cats had zero interest in. Leave it to Jackson Galaxy- this one is a hit! Cats go crazy for it- could be the helicopter like feathers and the thin cord but they love to chase and bat it. Made out of feathers so easy to come apart (lost 3 feathers in a few days)- but the other 3 are holding up. When kitty catches it, don't yank it. When kitty lets it go, send it flying again. My cats dig this so much, they went under the towel I hid it under and pulled it out! Great to get out cat enerty!

Air prey cat toy.
Great toy, my lazy cat loves it. Only problem feathers get damaged quickly and no refills. Have to rebuy and that's expensive. Offer refills of feathers

Breaks very easily
Its not just the feathers that get worn out quickly, the wand itself breaks apart. I wish I had looked more into the reviews before buying these.Since they are quite expensive one would assume that they would withstand actually playing with a cat, but they dont.My first 2 wands broke in the same manner. I just got half the money back even though it is obvious that this is a issue with the products quality.Since my cat who is hard to get to play loved this one so much I bought two more anyway...:) Now I look into what could replace this and not financially ruin me.The support is very bad - I got a copypasted answer 2 or 3 times until I agreed on a 50% refund. Both my cats really love these, and the idea of the toy is really great (retractable cord, telescopic wand) so I still give it 3 stars. But I wont be buying these again.Another thing: I cant find any replacement/refill toys? Are there any? Those I could buy again but not the wand.

Best Wand Toy Ever
Kitten says oink so I started playing with the wand toy. She loves it. I had an older model for several months and it finally bit the dust when she snapped the cord. So I purchased this one by the same brand. It's a bit pricier than the lower end ones I found that have short wands and even shorter cords. The wand on this one telescopes out long enough to keep you free from flying needle toes. The retractable cord is amazing. It is longer than on any wand toy I've ever purchased but still just takes up about 8 inches when fully closed up. It allows for quick motion and aerial tricks. My kitten doesn't say oink anymore...she has really slimmed down and pesters me to play using this wand every night. The new version has a plastic alligator clip on the end of the cord...I was leery at first but it makes it really easy to change to any new end part that has a loop and the plastic is heavy duty -- still has a strong clamp to not let loose of the feather/fuzzy end piece. When the kitten breaks this one I'll purchase another one of these for sure.

My cats loved it, but….
I had really high hopes for this wand, which means when it failed, it failed big. It bothered me even more, knowing now that a durable cat wand just doesn’t exist. After playing with my 3 babies for a week, about 2-3 times a day, I noticed the string was twisting, causing the length to become shorter every time. So, I pulled the string all the way out and held it by the feather to allow the pole to spin freely, thereby straightening the string. I found myself having to do this every time I played with my babies. Then found I was doing it every few minutes when playing with them. The string started coming apart and a few weeks later it broke. So, in conclusion, this did last longer than the cheaper wands but only by a couple weeks. I’ve realized there is not a single toy out there made to last longer than a month. There is one toy that has held up against my 3 kitty babies. It was the inexpensive, wire with the little bits of cardboard attached at both ends. (You have to be careful to not hit your fur baby with it, as it would hurt since it’s a wire.).My expectations for a Jackson Galaxy wand are so much higher than the rest. My 3 babies and I sit and watch “My Cat from Hell”. I would think, if someone was going to develop a cat wand that would last, it would be “The Cat Daddy” himself.I’M STILL WAITING FOR THAT DURABLE WAND TO BE RELEASED. I’LL KEEP LOOKING ELSEWHERE IN THE MEAN TIME, BECAUSE THIS ISN’T IT.

Best cat flyer toy
Best flyer toy for all age cats .. took longer than usual for them ... 5 to chew up the feathers. Trustworthy brand. Bought cheaper ones and cat cot his nail stuck in jingle bell. Try getting it off a cat nail in play mode
