I have had this player for a little over a year and specifically purchased it for the Dolby Vision capabilities. I get Dolby Vision whether the Denon AVR is on or off. I have not had any issues with it at all and have been 100% satisfied with it. A majority of folks who have had issues found they were using an older HDMI cable, which prevented Dolby Vision from playing properly. Don't think you have to pay premium prices for the cables because you don't. They are available here and at Monoprice (just to name a few) and the cables I am using were less than $8.00 each. Just do your homework on the cables as the older style cables will cause you problems. Hope this helps. I bought the lg ubk90 for the.lirpose of watching dolby vision and atmos dvds. I have the roku ultra and fire tv cube for streaming.
