Simply Great
As far the product is concerned i think no one will have a second say as it is a Polk Product. I had purchased it for my Honda Jazz and it was a perfect fit in the front doors and no significant alterations was needed to the same to make it fit. The techician who fitted the product was highly impressed with the product and as per his opinion most of the popular brands (for eg: JBL,SONY,KICKER) was nothing when compared to this product. I had replaced the Honda Stock speakers which was of very poor quality with this one and it is complimented by Sony Explod 4 channel 1400 watts amplifier , Sony 1400 watts bass tube and Polk 4 ohms 300 watts coaxial oval speakers .All i can say is that anyone entering my car is deeply impressed by the sound quality and many of them opines that it is just similar to sitting inside a movie theatre.Again i cannot stop writing this review without mentioning the packaging by Amazon, in one word all i can say is "Awesome Packing".In my opinion as far as packing is concerned no one can beat the quality offered my Amazon.

Studio sound in car
The speaker is the best you can get for this price. Honestly, I hardly find any differences in the sound quality between this one and brands like Bowers and wilkins, ELS etc. The mid-range and the high notes are spot on.

Bought these speakers last week . Just have one word to say it's so damn clear and the bass is just perfect . U need to amp these speakers in order to get max out of them . Trust me just go for it and one advise please stay away form pioneers, jbls etc etc as u can't beat these speakers . I've compared it with focal basic ones and also with boston and kickers it beats them all hands down . Highly impressed with these polks.

Excellent speakers. Can handle power
Excellent speakers. Can handle power. Truly able to reproduce 35 hz low bass frequency. Previously been using a jbl coaxial and the difference is evident. Produces sufficient bass even if the sub woofer is turned off.Tweeters sound warm and sweet. Can handle power. They need to be positioned at -3 db setting to sound warm. Brings out a lot of detail in the music. Best if paired with a head unit that has control over the graphic equalizer. Normal tone control systems may not do justice to this speakers.

Polk DB6501......just great...
Fantastic set of speakers. Way better than most component speakers available in the market. Good decent bass even without a subwoofer and amp. I've hooked them up to my new pioneer avh z2090bt which suits these speakers very well. Should buy if you are a true music lover.

fantabulous speakers and clearly the best among the rivals(focal, infinity)
the vocals and bass are very much crisp and clear.and after hearing them for around 3-4 hours a day at its full volume I can say without any doubt that these are one of the best component speakers on the market(slightly better than focal and infinity)

Great speakers
Amazing speakers for the price. Replaced my stock speakers in my 2015 jeep wrangler. I have them hooked up to a 1000 watt 4 channel amp and am very impressed with the sound quality

Great speakers at any price--best for the money, period
These speakers really sound great. I looked at a lot of speakers' specs online, and nothing came close to these--bass response down to 35 hZ (I am a professional bassist so this was a necessity), while they have an efficiency rating of 92db. This is VERY important, if not the MOST important spec when you are matching your speakers to your amp (or even driving them with the weak head unit). You need TWICE the power to push 3db more sound...So all else being equal, an 89dB rated speaker will sound half as loud with the same power input. These sound just awesome with an Alpine CDE-124XSM head unit (GREAT unit, with built in XM tuner!) driving them (50watts/channel peak, 18W/ channel program). I'm sure they would be even better with an amp, and they can take a TON of power! I'm not sure how they got such great bass response AND efficiency; really genius, and like NOTHING ELSE I found on the market. I bought them due to the amazing reviews, and great reputation of POLK.35 hZ is nearly down to the low string of a five string bass guitar (low B); most other speakers have no output below 65-90 hZ. If you want BASS, get these. There is no silly treble response up to 22,000 like some speakers, but most people can barely hear up to 20,000 hZ and there is almost no musical information there.I set the crossovers at -3dB because I hate harsh treble, and you need a lot of bass frequency to make up for all the low droning road noise on the freeway. I put a narrow +1 dB boost at 500hZ, for warm growl, and a +1dB wide boost at 10K for the cymbal sparkle. I have not heard the tweeters at the other settings; for now I am happy as a clam. I had the tweeters mounted in the door, facing up, right near the woofer. Beautiful tweeter sounds, very clear, warm (if you can say that about treble) and not harsh at all. Silk dome tweeters like these have a smooooth response. The system is rounded out by a (discontinued; you can still find them) Blaupunkt THB-210A 8" active subwoofer (240 watts peak, 120 watts program). These three components (head unit, speakers, and sub) together sound absolutely amazing, AND I paid less than $700 for everything, installed. Even without the sub, there is VERY nice bass...but add the sub if you can....Our Eurovan went from a broken tape player and worn out speakers to an XM-equipped audiophile system at a bargain price! BTW, that Blaupunkt sub fits perfectly under the front seat! No loss of cargo room and my wife likes the vibrations in her seat:) We just put the swivel seat adapter in there too (Eurocampers.com) and it couldn't be a more perfect fit---the seat basically touches the sub but it STILL FITS!!! We were relieved...I love hearing all the details of the music AND THE BASS!!! at a low volume. I don't need to crank it to hear everything beautifully. Head unit is generally set no higher than "15", and I hear NO distortion. Like I said, I am happy as a clam.Buy these speakers; I did hours of research...FOR THE PRICE and even at twice the price, they can't be touched...

2001 Mitsubishi Eclipse GT Coupe
I bought these for my Eclipse and thought other Eclipse owners could benefit from my review:The InstallationInstallation was moderately difficult. To start, the door speakers/woofers didn't fit perfectly as I had expected (crutchfield said they would fit fine and they didn't). The woofers were actually just a tad too small to fit into the stock locations without the included mounting brackets. Even when using the mounting brackets, I couldn't get all of the holes to match up right so I ended up having to drill my own holes. No biggie though. After the drilling of new holes, they fit ok. The tweeters, however, were a whole other story. Using the flat plastic adapter piece, I was able to screw them (from the bottom of the adapter) into the metal stock mounting brackets, so the mounting part wasn't difficult at all. The bad part, is that These tweeters are just a tad too large, so I could not put the stock grilles back on. I'll have to figure out something to do about that. Again, I was told by crutchfield that these would fit, but they didn't. Might have to dremel out the stock grills for these tweeters so I can get the covers on. Other modifications might even be necessary after that. For now, they are uncovered. The wiring was a PITA. Very very time consuming and tedious. The Sound QualityI have these hooked up to a Boss CX650 4 channel amp. 100 watts rms per channel, for 4 channels. The sound is definitely better than stock. The highs are crystal clear and the bass is smooth and responsive. The mids and vocals are where the speakers are lacking IMO. Hopefully when I install speakers in the rear it will fill up some of the mid range tones. I cranked up the bass and these little speakers held up very nicely. Toned the bass down a little and cranked the overall volume and still, they held up better than my ears did and there wasn't a whole lot of distortion either, so they can handle whatever you throw at them. I just wish they had more of a midrange sound. Right now, these are the only speakers hooked up. I don't have my center channel speaker hooked up and I haven't installed any speakers in the rear yet either. Because of the lack of mids, I might end up hooking up the center speaker from my HU to try and fill some of the gap there. Other than that, these speakers are great. Not "amazing", but very good speakers nonetheless. The other downside is that at low volumes, you don't hear much of the bass. Maybe it's because I haven't broken them in yet, but to really hear these speakers perform optimally, I have to give them some volume, otherwise, all I hear are the tweeters. Some fine tuning might fix that tho. I've only had these for a day.NOTES: These are 100 watt RMS speakers and you need an amp!!! You cannot power these speakers on a head unit. Head units normally run 18 watts rms and 50 peak. An 18-50 watt head unit can't power a 100-300+ watt speaker properly. If you don't have an amp and don't plan to buy one, don't bother wasting your money on a higher powered speaker like this.As for those who gave these bad reviews, probably didn't know what they were doing. Either they don't have an amp, have the amp setup wrong, or have their HUs screwed up. They may have even hooked these speakers up wrong. You have to use the crossovers and you have to hook them up correctly or they won't work right. Conclusion is, thought the installation is giving me some trouble, the sound quality a fabulous makeover for stock systems and I would definitely recommend these.
