Review: A good OBD-II scanner with ABS, SRS & Steering system diagnosis - I bought this to keep in the glove box of my 2006 RX-8. I thought all OBD-II scanners sold lately were equipped with ABS, SRS & other diagnostic functions, but it doesn't seem so. This was on sale with $20 off, so I bought it. This is to keep in the glove box of my 2006 RX-8, and for this purpose this tool would suffice. Tried it, and the auto VIN works and other functions are easy to navigate through. For high-end shops, this may not suffice but for home mechanics or those who do not wish to spend thousands of $$$ at a dealer/shop, this would save you a fortune. For Honda/Acura owners, note that Honda uses unique protocol for accessing control modules for ECU, ABS, SRS & what not. Even some Snap-on diagnostic tablets seem to have difficulty communicating with Honda vehicles. I have an Actron CP9580A in the dash of my 2004 Acura TL. The Actron is near-perfect tool for the majority of non-professionals in that it is loaded with all- system diagnostic functions (except for BODY/CAN systems). Unfortunately, it is no longer available and I bought mine in 2014 at $230. It also has x3 AAA batteries, as well as use vehicle battery power, while this Foxwell only uses vehicle battery, so you cannot power it unless it is connected to a vehicle or a PC. If the Actron was still available, that would have been the one I bought. However, at this price this Foxwell is also a good value. My main diagnostic platform is Autel Maxisys MS906BT (BlueTooth, so you can use it via wireless). This lets me do everything that an HDS (Honda Diagnostic System used at Honda & Acura dealers) can do, including ECU & duplicate key programming (an HDS is about $10,000 I believe). The Autel was about $1,300 and you may think it's over-priced, but several dealer visits would pay it off. I work as an airline plane tech, so the Autel is no rocket science (anyone who uses smart phones/tablets can use it with no hassle). Besides, the Autel is not just a diagnostic tablet but can function as, well, a tablet so it comes with Chrome & other tablet functions (the OS is Android). For such system, $1,200 was a serious bargain for me. You can also connect borescope camera, has USB 2.0 & mini-USB interface as well as micro SD slot. It is one of the best investments I made for my vehicles. The only issue is that the free software update is for 1 year, and after that you have to pay monthly subscription fees to access updates for a price. However, neither of my vehicles needs updates so it does not affect me. Newer vehicles may come with systems that a hand-held scanner is of little help, but Autel with updates would be able to resolve just about any issues. Update on 6/26/24: The seller is serious about making sure the customers are satisfied with their purchases. If you're not satisfied for any reason, this seller would make sure that you are 100% happy. I have been an desertcart customer for 24 years, and OBDZON, the seller, is by far THE BEST I've come across.
Review: Works for Subaru C Codes (ABS, Steering, and G sensing)!! - Excellent tool! Subaru C Codes removed, calibrated abs, steering angle, and g sensor after grounding issue and then created codes. Cleared subsequent codes. All good. All for the price of a trip to a shop for them to do the same and now I own the scanner to do in the future. If you have an 09-14 outback I can confirm ABS, Steering, etc calibration and code diagnostics work!

Standard OBD-II 16-pin interface for 12V vehicles. NOTE: Supports universal OBD-II emission-related functions only; does NOT support advanced engine system diagnostics
- Pay Only for the Services You Need - One NT630 Plus is enough! This car obd scanner will perform daily reset services like ABS light reset, SAS(Steering Angle Sensor) adjustment, Oil light reset(NO oil life reset), etc... The error light or codes will reset after the car’s faults are repaired. Tip: Service coverage varies by make/model, please confirm BEFORE purchasing

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Why the scanner can not Connect/ Autovin/ Clear the codes on My Vehicle Model?**
A: 1. Chrysler vehicles after 2018 need a 12+8 adapter (CCD protocol not supported). 2. Specific vehicle models only support manual VIN, NO autovin. 3. Fault codes can only be cleared after the vehicle issue has been properly repaired.

**Q: What if the ABS Auto Bleed Function Can Not Work?**

**Q: What if the Reset Function Can Not Work?**
A: 1. NT630 Plus can not reset the airbag crash/collision codes. 2. Car faults should be repaired before performing reset function. 3. Some components are not equipped on the vehicle, so NT630 Plus can not perform these functions on vehicle.

**Q: Can I update this on a Macbook?**
A: The NT630 Plus offers hassle-free WiFi Updates with no subscription required, keeping it compatible with newer vehicle models. No more PC update.

**Q: What's the Special Feature of NT630 Plus?**

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Seems to be a remarkably robust tool in my limited set of tests. Some documentation issues.
*by H***R on February 28, 2019*

I bought this scanner because it is able to run the ABS bleed cycle on a variety of domestic and foreign cars and after inquiring with the manufacturer as to whether my specific car was covered I purchased it. When I got the device I tested out some of the basic functionality on a couple of my vehicles. The device comes with a fairly decent plastic case to carry it in, which is nice since most don't and bundling up the cables can be a pain. The software on the device was pretty much up to date. It has multiple files it uses for different manufacturers and when I went to update there were about five files that needed updating, but nothing I needed to use. The base software that runs the device was up to date. The device handles identifying different makes and models in different ways. In some cases it can auto-detect the vehicle VIN and send you right into the diagnostics. In other cases it requires that you enter the VIN manually. With my 04 Lincoln Navigator I had to enter the VIN manually. The third case is one that seems to be undocumented and that I found when I hooked the scanner up to my 2006 Corvette. You go through the menus selecting make and model and then it comes to a set of menus where there are only numbers and letters as options. From reading replies on here to reviews I saw a support person indicate that you have to enter the fifth character of the vehicle VIN at this menu and sure enough once I did this I got the various options I wanted. I deducted a star from the review just for this, because I fail to understand how this very basic piece of information is left out of the documentation. I tested it on my Navigator and my Corvette and it is able to do live data on both and control modules on both. I monitored the TPS data on both of them and was able to see the value going up and down while getting on and off the gas pedal. On my Corvette I was able to disable the solenoid that opens the passenger door. Normally when you touch the button on the door it slides the window down slightly and pops the door open, but when I disabled the solenoid it only slid the window down. Re-enable and it all worked again. The device has a long list of sensors and modules that it seems to control. I have not tested all the options or the ABS bleed functionality yet as it is still winter, but the option is available from the menus. I will report back after the weather warms up and I'm able to try out the procedure. So far though, for the price, it seems like a bargain.
