Like a Vault
My goal was to find a high performance rain jacket without paying the extreme price for a brand name. The fabrics used for rain jacket material simply must be similar from brand to brand. No brand has a material that is significantly better than their competition. I took a chance on this jacket and bought it. I tested it by placing the sleeve under the kitchen faucet at full blast. The material laughed at my meager effort. The next day I wore it in a heavy rain and I laughed inside the flexible vault that I was wearing. My teenage son liked it, so I ordered another one for him. Even my puppy approves of this rain jacket. The pockets are perfectly placed for comfortable arm positions. The zippers have flaps to keep them sealed. The hood and waist both have drawstrings to keep us dry in extreme weather. It has a pocket inside the jacket that's large enough to hold my full-size cellphone. It's large enough to comfortably allow me to wear a couple of layers in cold weather. In summary, if you want protection from the weather without paying for bling and posting on the 'gram, this is the jacket for you.

Hard to find fault
Excellent jacket, great value. Love the covered zipper, Velcro sleeve opening closures, zip off hood, and beautiful blue color.

Attractive and fits well, good value but lacks ventilation
When I opened this, I was immediately struck by the apparent quality, it looked a lot more expensive than its price. The feel of the jacket on both the inside and the outside, as well as the fit and look implies a much higher price point. The jacket as several elements I really like, but is also missing a couple things.I like the number of pockets on the outside. Three is pretty much a minimum for me. There's only one pocket on the inside though, which I find lacking. The microfleece collar is really nice, it makes a big difference in how warm the jacket feels. However, this means it's not something that I'd be wanting to wear in the summer or while doing a tough hike - it would just be too hot. Another problem with using it in warm conditions is the lack of ventilation. There's no pit zips or side zips to help ventilate. If you've ever been hiking in a rain storm, you need a way to ventilate or the waterproofing won't have done any good because you'll be dripping from sweat on the inside. For my use, this is a big problem.I like the detachable hood. I haven't had a jacket with one for a long time.I really like the way the hood closes and cinches down. Rather than closing in front of your mouth, the flaps tuck into little sleeves on either side. It took me a moment to figure this out because at first the hood seemed way too small to close. Between this and the way the hood cinches, it leaves just the right exposure in my opinion. I like this part better than any of my other jackets. The main zipper seems too fragile for an outer jacket like this. I'd expect a stronger, more durable zipper. As far as waterproofing, I held my arm under the shower and the water just beaded off. It's hard to tell how long that will last. The breathability doesn't seem great. I would say it's less than standard gore-tex. In combination with the lack of pit zips or other ventilation, it's a real problem for certain conditions.

Great travel jacket
My son outgrew his last jacket and we needed a rain jacket for traveling and he doesn't seem to care about having a specific name brand logo and this seems to be a decent quality rain jacket. It is lightweight but seems to be thick enough that it will help keep wind and rain off and offer at least a little warmth on a cooler day. If you layer a sweatshirt/sweater with this you should be all set for cool and wet conditions as long as you don't need a beefier snow coat depending on the conditions you are heading into. The size fit him perfect and exactly as expected per the size chart. The zippers all seem to be good quality and the rain flaps over the side pocket are a nice touch. The hood offers good coverage. Not a huge selection of colors but still a nice variety but we wanted to go with black to keep things basic. For the price this seems to be a very nice jacket and probably functions just as well as some of the name brand options.

Great rain jacket for the price paid
I got this rain jacket with a coupon discount and really like it. It looks and feels high quality. It can be worn like a light jacket too. It has many features (see picture). Put some water on the exterior, came back 3.5 hours later, interior was dry; wiped the water off and no sign of water seeping through. The fit is a bit on the slim side. If you want to layer or loose fit, size up.

Stylish and Useful Rain Jacket
I like the stylishness of this raincoat, the way that it looks, and it's also so good at repelling water. The jacket is pretty slick to be honest, and it keeps me dry. The hood is a nice touch, and I like the way the jacket looks with the hood up. It's great for rainy days, and I'm sure I'll get a lot of use out of it.
