The Haier 70-Pint dehumidifier has a built in pump and includes the hose for continuous draining. It features electronic controls with LED read Outs. The display shows the room temperature, room humidity and target humidity. If you choose to use the conveniently front mounted bucket, it has Auto shut off with a bucket full indicator light and audible signal. It has 2 fan speeds, Auto restart and Auto defrost. This model also features low temperature operation.

I have had this Haier dehu for over a year and I am very satisfied with the performance of it. It works better than a 50 pint LG I previously purchased from Sears, of which I had for five years and bought the extended warranty for, and every year the LG needed to be repaired. I do not need to run my dehu continuously and I really like the timer on the Haier. At the time I purchased the Haier, I compared it to the Frigidaire 70 pint dehu. People liked the Frigidaire, but did not like the small water container. The Haier has a larger container and was a factor in my purchase. My energy consumption is also less with the Haier dehu as well.

Great machine with a tiny leak
This would be a 5 star review except that there is a slight leak where the tube connects to the machine to pump water out to an external drain. The leak does not seem to be growing or even to bother the operation at all. The machine still works great and the leak is so slight that no water is able to pool up.

Haier Good, the HM70EP not so much
This dehumidifier was a huge disappointment. Never operated correctly, never produced one drop of water. The only redeeming point of the whole purchase of this item was Amazon's great return procedure. I have purchased other Haier dehumidifiers that were great, stay away from this model.

Worst customer service on the planet. I'll never buy a Haier anything as long as I live.
Never worked right out of the box. Called in to Haier customer service at least four times and wasted a lot of time. Every time I called they would tell me to let it run for 24 hours to make sure it got acclimated first. Bologna!!! Crap!!I bought a Frigidaire and it's been running and working beautifully ever since. No Haier brand appliances for me ever again. Worst customer service I've ever encountered and I'm a Direct TV customer.

Loud fan cannot be turned off.
Noisy fan cannot be turned off. The advertised information on this product is INCORRECT (August 13, 2014 Q&A). Shipping cost prohibits return. Avoid.
