My first 2 scales became unstable and inaccurate. Perhaps the high humidity here in Hawaii. There always was some time to settle down. Bread can be tricky. Gluten-free is very sensitive to amounts. Having a scale that settles down quickly and accurate to 0.1 grams is very comforting. A real breakthrough in baking to know the weight of the raw dough and bake until it loses 15% of its weight. I used to have to toast my bread because it was under baked. The top can be removed for cleaning. There are adjustable legs and a bubble to level . Feels as a nice solid instrument should.

Before purchasing this scale I thought "converting the units can't be as hard as everyone's made it seem" but I also struggled with it for awhile.The secret nobody else mentioned:Press the two buttons while the scale is turned OFF. It won't work if it's turned on.So, from the off position, hold PCS/OK then On/Off, release both at the same time and immediately press zero twice. Click tare until you see "Unt" and zero/scroll to choose which you want.The good news - so far when turned off and back on it has remembered my choice, so if you're planning to use the scale in grams and keep it there this should only cause you headache once.Despite this design flaw, it seems like a solid scale. Waterproof and backlit display are musts for me, as I'll be weighing fish outdoors after sunset. I'm hopeful it stands up to the elements over time, but can't vouch for that yet.

The media could not be loaded. I believe this scale is accurate. If you don’t need to change units, cool, go for it. But whoever designed the interface is a maniac. It would be impossible to change units simply by looking at the buttons. You need to look up the secret spell in the manual, and even then, good luck.Even if you get into the “menu” by pressing two buttons in sequence with the machine off and then releasing them simultaneously and hitting another button twice before the startup sequence completes, you may just be looking at a row of zeros which you can now change to other numbers. Then, press random buttons hoping to see some sign of a gram or a lb. But more likely you are just going back and forth beeping buttons and not getting anywhere.I have given up. Truly the worst scale interface ever. Oh yeah, it doesn’t display a decimal in grams so it assumes you just know to imagine one and that it’s measuring tenths of grams.Or maybe there’s another submenu to display the dot, I don’t know. This scale sparks rage.
