Review: Its Fan cooling ONLY BUT it does cool water to a few degrees above ambient temp - This Does NOT contain a freon type cooler. Its Fan ONLY BUT it does cool water to a few degrees above Ambient Temp. IE: it was 70 degrees in the shop and I ran a 15+ hr job on 110 V 2.2KW Spindle cutting OAK ( fairly hard wood ) . The RV Antifreeze got to 26 C or 78.8 F degrees. Before adding the cooler I could not get 2.5 hrs before Coolant temp was pushing 38C It works and works well. Pump is pushing MUCH more coolant than the pond pump that was included with the spindle kit. so far I am very pleased

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Will this chill water enough for distilling?**
A: We use this unit to chill a water cooled resistance welder machine.  This water circulates from the chiller unit, to the firing system, to the electrode tips that actually make the weld, circulating back to the unit.

**Q: Does this just plug into the wall?**
A: Yes.  Just a normal 3-prong plug.

**Q: Temperature range?**
A: It has functions to adjust the temp range. But usually runs around 19 degrees Celsius (66F)

**Q: Can this run just 1 laser or does it have to be 2? I have one laser now, but may get another one, and would prefer to just use one chiller.**
A: I run one 80W laser from my OMTech CW-5202 Dual Industrial Water Chiller.
I also liked the option to run 2 lasers and the ability to add standard R410a refrigerant.

This Does NOT contain a freon type cooler. Its Fan ONLY BUT it does cool water to a few degrees above Ambient Temp. IE: it was 70 degrees in the shop and I ran a 15+ hr job on 110 V 2.2KW Spindle cutting OAK ( fairly hard wood ) . The RV Antifreeze got to 26 C or 78.8 F degrees. Before adding the cooler I could not get 2.5 hrs before Coolant temp was pushing 38C It works and works well. Pump is pushing MUCH more coolant than the pond pump that was included with the spindle kit. so far I am very pleased

My shark 3HP spindle was purchased with the Shark e-cool system. That system proved to be inadequate to maintain spindle cooling after 1 hour of operation. My research led to this unit. WOW this unit is doing a FANTASTIC job of keeping the spindle cool. After 2 1/2 hours of operation, the spindle maintained ambient room temperature. One note, this unit will cool to ambient temperature as no refrigeration is included. It has the aluminum radiator that is more than ample for the 3 HP spindle cooling. The fan moves ample air and coolant flow exceeds what my spindle can handle.(The unit is equipped with 10mm coolant connections that I had to reduce to attach to my 8mm spindle connections). I highly recommend this unit for CNC spindle cooling for those struggling with the inadequate Shark e-cool.
