I believe the accuracy claims, although it does this by focusing the beam at the end of the 10m spec. In other words, the beam is widest closest to the laser. It is plenty bright, and the self leveling works great. The beam flashes if the auto leveler cannot bring the laser into level. You just adjust the mount until the flashing stops. I wish Huepar offered a wall clamp for use with wall molding, but I made everything work by using a steel bar screwed to the joists along with the adjustable magnetic mount. The laser is fairly intuitive and the one word of warning is that the user should take a photo of how it's packed in the case because getting it back in the case is the hardest thing to learn. Battery lasts a long time, item does exactly as you would expect it to do. I bought it to help make the first row, a long run of flooring across a large room, straight across the room so I didn’t end up with issues multiple rows into the room and it was perfect. It’s also great for installing shelves and any other project where you wish you had three hands, and holding a traditional level is cumbersome.
