A second Look after help from the Tech Gem Team
Tanks to a second look and help from the seller and my service provider it looks and feels just like my old phone. There are some miner menu wording differences, but that’s to be expected when it was on 3 and now on Orange. Thanks for your patients Tech Gems. Chris

The person who sold this product did not specify that the phone was LOCKED on 3 Network...a network I do not use,and NO..I did not wan to buy a rubbish sim card to use the phone..The phone itself it's nice and bought another one.

Ordered this phone on Sunday and got it on Tuesday.Every thing works as it should. Fantastic ! Had one of these before but broke the screen on it.The phone i got at the time to replace it was a HTC Salsa.. Do not need all the apps and stuff just wanted a good phone with a good camera and good for texting so i decided to get another Nokia 6500 slide and im so glad i did. I love these phones. They can be used for internetting but i just wanted a good,neat phone and this is the one for me.£99.99 is a bit on the steep side but i think its worth the money :)

poor battery life if in non 3G area
This phone is good if you live in a 3G area. I do not and so, my phone is constantly trying to find one which wears the battery down. when I took it to my local network provider (3 - in case you are wondering), the salesperson tool one look and knew exactly what the problem was - there's no way of turning off the 3G search facility. A "design flaw" as he called it. No wonder it was free on my tariff!

Garbage!
If you have any desire to buy this phone please take my advice and DON'T. Mine constantly resets the ringtone and wallpaper picture unless it's saved to the phone rather than the memory card. When you flip the slider up the buttons very often decide not to work for anything up to 2 mins. The battery life is hurrendous, I have to charge it every night and I don't phone use my heavily at all. I would like to think that I have a dodgy one but I have had mine replaced only to have exactly the same problems, also my friend has one again with the same problems. I will say it looks and feels nice though but this really does not warrant buying one.
