Great taste, but complete ingredient and allergen information is needed
These are a bit of a culinary curiosity. Clearly imported direct from Japan with no effort made to translate information for English speakers. In one way that's good, as it feels like more of an authentic experience, but on the other hand it's not great as it's hard to know exactly what the ingredients are and if there may be potential allergens present. You receive two packets of the seasoning, both variants on plum furikake. The one with the purple edged packaging is definitely the more plum flavoured of the two. It has a salty, fruity, umami taste. The second pack, with the pink colour on it, has a seafood flavour, but still with the salty fruitiness under it. There are actual little dried fish in this one, so if you're strict vegetarian or vegan, then it's not suitable for you.I really liked these. I found they were great to make a quick and easy rice dish, or to make noodle dishes more interesting. They even work nicely on salads. The major issue with these is the product information and labelling. If you care to take the time to use a translation app, you can read all of the info in the pack, but they should really have a sticker on the back with translated information, as it could potentially be dangerous if anyone buying them has a serious allergy. I think the seller desperately needs to address that.

No English Product Information
I appreciate the quality assurance of Japanese products but without English Production Information being provided, I had no idea what ingredients it contains, how to use it, how much to use, etc. What a shame! I have not used it yet so can not comment on its taste.

Tasty addition to rice, but beware the ingredients
This is a tasty topping that can add some interest to plain rice. It adds some umami and a refreshing acidity with some classic Japanese ingredients that you might not come across often here in the UK.If you're vegetarian, however, be warned as these packets contain bonito flakes, which are made of dried tuna. It's not clear unless you understand japanese that they contain bonito, but running it through google translate reveals the ingredient.Tasty for non vegetarians and pescatarians.

Tasty Umami Boost 🍙✨
Absolutely love this furikake! The blend of plum and shiso adds the perfect balance of tangy and savory flavors to rice, noodles, or even salads. It’s light, crunchy, and packed with umami goodness. Plus, it’s vegan and gluten-free, which makes it even better. A little sprinkle goes a long way—definitely a pantry essential!

This product claims to be vegan but it is not because it contains fish which is also an allergen.
This twin pack of OHMORIYA dry rice seasoning with plum are sealed 40g bags that you add to your rice in order to season it. You can see from the photograph that it contains plum and predominantly sesame seeds although there are many other ingredients.Having been vegan for over four decades, I read the title "OHMORIYA Dry Rice Seasoning with Ume Shiso Plum Furikake 40g × 2packs Gluten Free, Vegan" and seeing the word "vegan", I knew that I didn't need to check the ingredients as this had already been done for us. The packs themselves are Japanese and have no English printed ingredients label on them or with them although the small label on the transparent packaging also says 'Vegan' as you can see in the photograph. However, checking the ingredients with two different online translators shows that one of the ingredients is 'Bonito' which is a type of fish so it is not even vegetarian, let alone vegan. If you are not vegetarian or vegan then this is not an issue but if you are, or you choose food labelled as vegan because you have allergies to fish then this is quite a serious issue.Whilst the product looks like many things that you add to rice and it certainly has a strong odour, it doesn't have printed ingredients on the pack and more importantly it fails to live upto the claim that it is vegan by containing fish which is also an allergen.

Unusual taste
I can’t say I’m a fan nor can I say I hate it. It’s an odd flavour. It is a great way to add flavour to what would be a plain rice. It is a bit salty. You can taste and feel the plum. That’s the most distinct thing from it. They would be good to make rice balls with them. It also fails to translate anything on the pack. No ingredients, not instructions or recommendations, no allergy warning.

Somthing new
I love trying new things when it comes to food. As someone who has rice often it's nice to try this rice topper. Gives plenty of flavour to plain rice. Very expensive but nice as a one off.
