Arrived at the scheduled time
It's what I ordered. Not too much to say about a book like this. The condition was okay.

Excellent guide for Seniors!
I had heard this author on a local radio talk show. She was well-spoken and an expert in Veteran's benefits. About a month ago, I gave the book to my Dad (82) who is a vet (he served in the United States Army after college in the early '50's)...The book is well-written, clear & easy to understand. I just visited him this past week and he thanked me for the book. Since receiving it, he has contacted his local VA office to find out about various programs...I am delighted to know that he is possibly entitled to some benefits. He lives alone and is facing some serious financial trouble... this type of assistance would be a godsend right now. I am so happy that I caught Victoria's interview!

Tips for applying for your VA benefits
Lots of good information, mostly for those applying for non-service connected benefits. Where to find info and how to make it work for you. A quick read tho. For $10, usually it takes me a while to read cover to cover. Not this time. But that's because the info is concise.

Great help!
This is believable. It's true. We were in Ga, last month and looked her up, could believe she actually had her office in Ga.. it's a lot like trying to get disability, after being rejected and being told you don't qualify, you get a Laywer, and then the VA or Social security sit up and take notice of you. This is legitimate lawyer, and we are going to use her to help my husband get his benefits. The lawyers that are the only ones you want to help you, are the ones, who specializes in this, which you can get from her office and they only get paid when you get paid..

A good read for a Vet who was injured or has disabilities from serving in the military.
Bought the book to help out a veteran who is in need of medical care. There are benefits available, but only if you have disabilities from serving or were wounded during that service. Even though it didn't give me an avenue to help a friend, it clarified many things. The book was delivered promptly and in good shape.

Thank you for clarification of this benefit ...
We purchased 47 Secret Veterans' Benefits for Seniors recently. There is much information available in this book that will help you with the sometimes difficult applications needed to secure a benefit. After attending a publicized seminar we came away somewhat confused about the Aid and Attendance Program. We visited independent living facilites, assistant living facilities and became more confused ... each person at the various facilities had a different rendition of the Aid and Attendance Program. A visit to our local VA office offered little to clarify the do'es and don'ts. "47 Secrets" stopped us from making a big mistake while attempting to use the Aid and Attendance Program ...From laws, rules and regulations to explanations of complicated calculations ... this is a must read if you want benefits from the government.

Great Book! Easy for a Veteran to understand.
This was well written. Very easy to follow and understand. I have passed this book title on to a few Veterans that will also find it very useful. My personal experience with the VA is a "mixed bag". I am very grateful for all the benefits they provide me with. They just don't make it easy to receive them. I am a Vietnam Combat Vet. Without the VA, and all they have done for me......I would be "screwed". If it were not for people like Victoria L. Collier, the trial and error method most Vets have to go through, is sometimes longer than their lifetime.

good book
Helps one understand the sheer bureaucracy of the VA. It took 7 months to get my Mom her pension benefit and that was after seeking help from our congressman. But it is worth it!!!!
