How do you clear its memory?
I bought one some years back, and transferred some of the 100s of VHS stuff I'd recorded. Everything was fine until... It told me the memory was full. Checked the handbook, and nothing about a memory. All attempts to clear it, or even find out how to clear it have gotten nowhere. I even tried to contact Sanyo, and many years later, I am still waiting for a reply.

Fine recorder within its limitations
Another four stars.Set up went without a hitch. Both VCR and DVD playback is smooth.DVD and VCR recording is reasonably straightforward and results are fine. I bought this to copy old tapes to DVD as well as all the usual functions and it has done the job.Fan is noticeable but not intrusive.Very good value for money, Docked one star because it has frozen up once when copying to DVD-RW,when copying VCR to DVD and vice versa I seem to be unable to watch satellite and can only view what I am copying or terrestrial channels and I think there may be a very slight colour tint onscreen(green?)when watching satellite with the player on or when copying. On a more minor point it isn't pleasing to the eye. However it 'does what it says on the tin' is well priced and on balance I am pleased with my purchase and recommend it.

Pile of Cr*p
It has been my misfortune to own this combi for 2 years and I must say it's junk.My beefs with the product are as follows:Very noisy fan.Machine keeps locking up in DVD playback - happens with any DVD irrespective of region or whether it's pre-recorded or not.Hostile DVD recording interface.Watch out for this on eBay in the new year!

great when working
great machine when working ,the trouble is that there are too many faults with this machine. the first one had to be sent back after 2 months as it had a mind of its own ,the vcr would rewind at full speed without slowing down towards the end resulting in a mini explosion inside in or the tape would rewind and fowardwind on its own and you couldnt stop it, the only way was to unplug it. the replacement wasnt much better when you insert a dvd into the tray it will continuously open and close on its own, again unplugging the only way to stop it.there is olso a light green tint to the screen, olso the fan is the noiseiet ever and sometimes that seems to go into overdrive making even more off a racket!but when its not playin up its not a bad combi, i would stay well clear though if buyin second hand as it will play you up all the time and you wouldnt have a warranty to send the damn thing back!

A GREAT LITTLE RUNNER
Like most people who have had VCRs from the start, I have a cupboard full of video tapes covering many years. Some of mine are copied from betamax and some from ancient super 8 movie film as well video camera stauff. They needed copying onto DVD before they expired.I spotted this and couldn't believe the price! I have waited a few weeks to see what problems were likely to arise with the machine, but haven't found any. It is easy to use and makes copying a doddle. There is a slight delay as it boots up, and the fan is a little noisy, but this is not really a problem. Even at the increased price it is worth every penny, Get one now before you lose those recorded memories!

Bah!!
