How's the sound quality?** A: If you are using this to add subwoofers to a stock head unit You DO NOT tap into REAR speakers. Use the front channels. This is why wires are gray and white ( just like front leads ) there is more signal from the front channels. This has been proven with data just do some research. Bass response will suffer using rears. A mono signal is only one channel and is what you want for bass not stereo. DO NOT use two stereo rca's in the two inputs for your sub amp. Subs don't like stereo sound. Just plug in to the left(white) one or better yet get a Y splitter and plug that into the single lead from this LOC and the other two ends into the two RCAs on your amp effectively increasing the sensitivity. I've tested all possible permutations and the data in conclusive. Your welcome! **Q: what is the brown wire for** A: I needed to use the brown wire to ground the adapter because of a buzzing sound when it was not used. Good news: The buzzing stopped and sound is fantastic. **Q: I have a 16 sierra with Bose system, including small sub, will this work coming off the factory sub speaker lines?** A: If the out put on your stock speaker is more then 50 watts then no it will not but if it's less then 50 watts then it will work **Q: Do I need 1 or 2 line out converters for a 4 channel amp install to a factory stereo?** A: Very simple.. If you are running 2 subs, you'll need to use both rear speakers and hook up the R. & L.
