Review: Good Value for Cost, Initial Review. - So I got the black ones with the clear top. I have seen a lot of anecdotal, low score reviews recently about them arriving broken, being flimsy, etc. Mine came to me in one piece. The plastic they are made of seems fairly durable, somewhat pliable. Typical material for this type of storage container. As with most plastics though, if it is in below freezing temperatures it can and usually will become more brittle and is prone to cracking. The size is about perfect for my needs, it's slightly bigger than a standard cardboard "bankers box" for size reference. The "handles" are adequate for most weight you can put into these, certainly if you're just putting paper into them. If you're putting rocks into them, firstly, why? Secondly, they will not hold up to that weight. The lid sit's fairly sturdily in place, though not "locked" tightly, it closes into place with a tactile and audible click. I would say that you could get away with storing these stacked three or four high easily, and you wouldn't get any lid sagging or breakage, as long as you were only storing papers and not the aforementioned rocks. If I notice anything else or anything unexpected happens in the future I will update this review accordingly! I'd say buy with confidence, damage in shipping sometimes happens. They are definitely good value for cost IMO! Review: These are great! - I have tried different types of products for paper/file organization, to include filing cabinets, banker boxes, and fabric filing boxes. Filing cabinets are too bulky, and normal home-sized ones don't offer enough space. Banker boxes are spendy, and I don't feel cardboard is completely protected against the elements, especially when living in wet/humid climates. Fabric filing boxes are the least durable of these options, can't be easily cleaned, and the fabric is easy to damage. They are also way overpriced for what you get. These plastic filing boxes are so awesome, and just what I needed. They come in a pack of 4, and are a good size. File folders move with ease, something that fabric boxes sometimes miss the mark on, and banker boxes don't have. The lids close easily and securely. They evenly stack for closet storage, or even better for my purpose, they are easily slid under a bed. I got the black ones, which may not be as visually appealing to some, but I did notice it isn't the only colored offered. I didn't really mind the black option, and it was less expensive as well. The price on these is a great deal, and after having purchased and used them, I would have gladly paid more for such a space efficient, high quality, and durable product. 5/5 would recommend. I received 2 day shipping, and the product arrived in perfect condition. If I find myself in need of more file storage, I know exactly what product I will be buying. ## Features - HANGING FILE STORAGE: Built-in hanging file ledges fit letter and legal size hanging file folders to organize lesson plans, worksheets, student records, classroom forms, and teaching materials. - PRIVATE DOCUMENT STORAGE: The opaque black design keeps student information, grading documents, and classroom paperwork protected and out of sight for added privacy. - STACKABLE TO SAVE SPACE: Grooved lid and base provide secure stacking to maximize storage space in classroom cabinets, closets, shelves, or supply rooms while keeping materials organized. - PRODUCT DIMENSIONS: Measures 18.13"L x 14.13"W x 10.75"H, providing ample space for letter and legal size files, folders, paperwork, handouts, and other classroom materials. - MADE IN USA WITH GLOBAL MATERIALS: Made from durable, anti-break polypropylene to provide reliable storage for everyday classroom organization and help protect materials throughout the school year. ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B07CQ919KP | | Assembly Instructions Description | No Assembly Required | | Best Sellers Rank | #736 in Office Products ( See Top 100 in Office Products ) #6 in Storage File Boxes | | Brand | IRIS USA | | Brand Name | IRIS USA | | Capacity | 20 pounds | | Closure Type | Snap | | Color | Black | | Customer Reviews | 4.4 out of 5 stars 7,930 Reviews | | Global Trade Identification Number | 00762016480817, 30762016480818 | | Included Components | Body, Lid | | Item Dimensions L x W x H | 18.13"L x 14.13"W x 10.75"H | | Item Type Name | File Box | | Item Weight | 2.1 pounds | | Lock Type | No Lock | | Manufacturer | IRIS USA, Inc. | | Manufacturer Part Number | 585216 | | Material | Plastic | | Material Features | BPA Free | | Material Type | Plastic | | Maximum Weight Recommendation | 20 pounds | | Model Number | 585216 | | Number of Compartments | 1 | | Number of Items | 4 | | Occasion Type | Document Organizer, General Storage, Moving, Spring Cleaning, Tax season | | Opening Mechanism | Lift-Off Lid | | Other Special Features of the Product | Built in File Ledge, Built-In Handle, Portable, Stackable | | Package Quantity | 1 | | Pattern | Solid | | Recommended Uses For Product | Bank paperwork, Important document organizer, File organizer, Receipt archiving, and General storage | | Shape | Rectangular | | Special Feature | Built in File Ledge, Built-In Handle, Portable, Stackable | | Storage Volume | 35 quarts | | Style | Black - 4 Pack | | Style Name | Black - 4 Pack | | UPC | 762016480817 | | Unit Count | 4 Count | | Water Resistance Level | Water Resistant | ## Product Details - **Brand:** IRIS USA - **Color:** Black - **Material:** Plastic - **Special Feature:** Built in File Ledge, Built-In Handle, Portable, Stackable - **Style:** Black - 4 Pack ## Images ![IRIS USA 4-Pack 35 Qt. I just need 1 replacement cover, everything else was fine** A: Complain to seller & good luck... it's hard to get these without lids or something else broken. A terrible waste, really, when some packing material might easily eliminate breakage in shipping. **Q: One of my lids was damaged upon arrival, Is it possible to get a replacement lid or do I need to do a return for all the boxes and lids?** A: return them all and reorder...it's pot luck. **Q: One is broken. Can I get it replaced please?** A: Yes when they shipped mine to me i had three lids broken. I was very upset that they did not take more care. Just use the return procedure to request replacement of the exact same item. DO NOT RETURN yet until you receive the next box and inspect all the items. The next delivery may have some broken items. Do a Mix and Match until you have four complete unbroken lids and bottoms. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good Value for Cost, Initial Review. *by P***O on March 3, 2020* So I got the black ones with the clear top. One of four was broken in shipping. I'm just going to keep it. ## Frequently Bought Together - IRIS USA File Box, Plastic File Organizer with Lids for Letter/Legal File, Portable Document Box For Moving, Storage Bin with Durable and Secure Lid, Stackable Nestable BPA-Free, Black 35 Qt. 4 Pack - Amazon Basics Hanging Organizer File Folder, Letter Size, Green - Pack of 25 - Amazon Basics 1/3-Cut Tab, Assorted Positions File Folders, Letter Size, Manila - Pack of 100 --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.sc/products/66664640-iris-usa-4-pack-35-qt-letter-legal-file-box](https://www.desertcart.sc/products/66664640-iris-usa-4-pack-35-qt-letter-legal-file-box) --- *Product available on Desertcart Seychelles* *Store origin: SC* *Last updated: 2026-10-25*
