No leaks if used properly
I wasn't sure if about trying this one out after trying the old Adiri Natural Nurser that had some minor leaking issues.I have to say I like this new version alot more! I have also figured out what makes it leak - the warming cap! If you put the warming cap on AFTER you pour milk in it, it will break the seal at the valve, causing leaks. Also if you put the bottle cap on, turn it upside down, and then put the warming cap on, it pushes air into the bottle, and out the nipple, causing leaks at the nipple. SO if you need to use the warming cap, put it on before adding milk.I like this one alot better because you can add milk right side up - no more flipping the bottle up side down. The nipple is screw on, so the rim part is hard plastic. The nipple shape looks similar to the old one, except there are some circular pattern underneath it but you can't feel it. It seems just a little softer than the old one. Otherwise, pretty much the same. (Since we can fill it right side up, I don't quite understand the need of having the bottom cap screw on. Maybe it's just for cleaning purposes?) Also because of this, there is no need to flip the bottle, hence, no leakages at the nipple when you put the cap on. I've tried to turn it upside down anyway, it does not leak if you push the cap down tightly. It actually CLICKS a little bit. The old version just holds the cap tight via friction. This one if you push down tightly, you can even unscrew the nipple portion along with the cap altogether.I would forget about the warming cap and just pour it into a small breastmilk storage bottle and submerge in hot water to warm it up. Much faster that way anyway, and no leaks.Material-wise, this is better quality than the old one. Although the body may feel like toy type of plastic. It's hard plastic though. The old version felt like there was a layer of rubber over it, which attracts lint.My 4 month old have refused so many other bottles and is only taking Adiri and Comotomo. She takes both just as well. I personally would prefer the newborn or slow flow for breastfed babies. So far after several weeks she is still going back and forth between bottles and breast.

Just so-so
My first breastfed baby would go between bottle and breast with no problem. We used Avent bottles with her and they worked great. No leaks, easy to read printing on the bottle, BPA free, easy to wash and use. Our second baby was sort of a bottle-taking disaster. She just refused to take bottles. She would scream and cry and drink just enough to not starve until I got home to nurse her. She did this for months with us trying to give her a bottle once a week. We tried several different brands of bottles and this was the one she liked the best. Finally she would take pumped milk! I was a little bummed that this bottle was so expensive but if my kid wasn't going to starve herself, I'd pay. There were a lot of things I didn't like about the bottles. I thought that they were a little difficult to put together so that they did't leak where the bottle body meets the base; the base discolored after two uses; I think vents don't really work and just make things more difficult to clean; 4 parts seemed like too many, it's practically impossible to read the measurement markings on the side; it's crazy expensive. But I accepted all these cons because my daughter liked this bottle. That was three months ago. I bought 5 of these bottles since my daughter takes 3 bottles while I'm at work. TWO of the nipples have broken. The nipple is a silicone soft nipple permanently attached to a rigid base that screws onto the body of the bottle. Two of the silicone nipples have detached from the rigid ring at the base. This is with gentle cleaning and going in a bottle basket on the top shelf of our dishwasher. This has rendered those two completely useless since there are no replacement nipples. As a note, some might say that since my daughter is 8 months, she shouldn't be using a newborn nipple anyway. My response to that would be that we've only been using these bottles for 2 and a half months and since most newborn nipples say they are for 0-3 months, the nipples certainly should have held up for at least 3 months. Secondly, as a company that touts that the bottle mimics breastfeeding, they should anticipate that some parents might want to stay with a slower flow so that baby doesn't get too used to a fast flow and get frustrated with the comparatively slower flow of milk from a breast. All in all, I liked this bottle because my baby accepted it. Now we've spent a ton of money on bottles that lasted for a couple of months and are on the hunt for a bottle that she will take that we also like. Again.

Baby loves the original Adiri Natural Nurser but will not take the NxGen
My exclusively breast fed baby has been a nightmare to introduce to a bottle and I will soon be returning back to work. After trying and failing with about 15 different bottles from the time he was about 3 weeks old (he is 11 weeks now), a friend let us try the Adiri Natural Nurser (the original style) and he took it! We were so excited and hopped online to order more only to discover that they don't make them anymore. I read countless reviews on the NxGen and decided to give them a try. I ordered the 5 ounce newborn based on the reviews that the Stage 1s are too fast of a flow. My little guy absolutely hates it. He will not even suck on it. Since the nipples screw off and on, the base of the nipple is a lot harder than the original Adiri natural nurser. The holes in the nipples are also different. The NxGen is just 1 hole and the natural nurser is a few small pin-like holes which mimics the flow from the breast more. I would agree that the newborn stage of the NxGen is the equivalence of a regular stage 1. I had also purchased 2 of the NxGen stage 1 to use for when he was older that I will be returning. I ended up searching the internet high and low and was only able to find 3 of the original natural nursers in the stage he his using and purchased all 3. If you have tried the original Adiri and your baby likes it just beware that, although the shape is similar, the NxGen nipple is way different!
