My only critique is that it doesn't spin smoothly, but it spins holdingly. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ ONE OF MY BEST EVER PURCHASES *by H***L on 7 May 2015* This is one of the best purchases I ever made. I love it. No more grounds of coffee spilled. The optimum amount of coffee is dispensed into the espresso machine - regardless of which size machine you're using - through a domed scoop at the base. The only thing to remember is to check that the arrow on the handle is pointing down before removing it, as this is what indicates that the scoop is closed. If you lift it off and the arrow isn't pointing down, the coffee grounds will spill out everywhere, in true nightmare fashion. It took me a while to realise what the arrow on the handle was for, so I learned the hard way! I keep mine in the fridge, so the coffee stays fresh. The skinny brown strip you see at the base is a lid, just in case there are any stray grounds. Mine has been problem free and fully functioning in the 3 or so years I've owned it - I haven't experienced any of the problems that other reviewers have mentioned here.
