Love my purchase but made for a Sz S or M body type.
I have been using this weighted vest for several months now every other day while walking or hiking 3 miles. I started out with 8 lbs and worked my way up to the full weight now. I had read that you should get a weighted vest that is no more than 11% of your body weight. It really is quite heavy and hurts my shoulders and upper back and neck about halfway through my hour walking. But as soon as I take it off, the pain is gone. Gradually increasing the weight has helped me tolerate the ache I feel while wearing it and allow my body to get used to it before I add 2 more lbs. it’s also important to add weight gradually or you can get plantar fasciitis. It does hurt my feet so I try to wear very supportive and cushioned shoes avoiding my shoes that are worn down with a lot of miles on them. I lift weights heavy 3x a week and wear the vest on my cardio days between weightlifting days. If I walk briskly, I can get my heart rate into the moderate zone (according to my Fitbit) with this vest on. I walk and hike a lot with my mom who goes slower and I wanted to still challenge my fitness even though our pace needs to be a bit slower than I prefer. I love that the vest zips and I can put it on and off without having to lift it over my head. Honestly it is so heavy and I can’t imagine having to put something like that over my head. I like that the weighted vest is adjustable to make it tighter. That said, it really is best suited for a woman who is a ice medium at most. It fits me and I have to tighten it up alot and I’m a size 4. Petite being 112 lbs and a 5 ft gal. My friends have tried it on and no one can zip it though. I would guess my friends sizes are ranging in size from a Large to a 1x. So I don’t think it will fit all body types. I haven’t had to wash the vest yet, but this was the only one I found that advertised it could be washed in the washing machine with the weights removed. Love that! Who wants to wear a rank stinky vest?

Perfect fit, great add to my daily walks.
I’m a 5’9” woman and around 190 lbs, and finding a weighted vest that actually fits well and feels comfortable can be tough — but this one is a winner.Fit & Comfort:The vest fits snugly without feeling tight or restrictive. The shoulder padding is a big plus — no digging in or chafing, even during longer workouts or brisk walks. It also doesn’t shift or bounce much, which is something I’ve had issues with in the past. Love that it zips up rather than having to put it on over my head.Workout Performance:I use it for walking. It adds just the right amount of resistance to increase intensity without compromising form. I’ve noticed better endurance and muscle activation, especially in my legs and core.Design & Adjustability:It’s low-profile and well-balanced, with adjustable straps that help dial in the fit. Just a heads-up — if you’re bustier, it might feel a little snug at first, but it’s still very wearable once adjusted properly.Minor Cons:It causes piling on my shirts from rubbing. I would think this is a common problem for all weighted vests so I didn’t knock a star off for this.Bottom Line:If you’re looking for a high-quality weighted vest that fits comfortably on a taller or curvier frame, I highly recommend this one. It’s a great way to level up your workouts without sacrificing comfort.

Just as described
Received this quickly. The item is just as illustrated. It fits well once properly fitted and sure does the job. The velcro is well made and fastens well. I do a lot of uphill walking and just adding 4 lbs. to start was more than enough. I am getting just what I wanted in using this weighted vest.

A very good weighted vest
I've found this weighted vest to be very useful and it's a positive that weights can be placed in the front and the back of the vest so that the weight of it is evenly distributed. One thing that I found bothersome is that some of the openings to place weights in are so tight that it was difficult to insert the weights so my much younger and stronger brother had to wrestle them in for me. Fortunately, I'm able to insert and remove them myself since he inserted and removed them several times.

40lbs. Not 42lbs.
I ordered a 42. Lb. Vest assuming it’s the largest size and received a 40 lb. Size vest.Other than that it’s great material and still gets the job done. It’s comfortable enough while still holding its durability with no rips or loose threads. The Velcro is an amazing hold, best design yet.

Worth it
Came neatly packaged. Weights are easily removeable and it was easy to adjust the vest to my size. I like that it has a zipper in the front. This vest did NOT smell. I read many reviews to many weighted vests and they all complained about the smell.

Runs large
I like that the weight can be adjusted, however the vest is pretty large. I’m 5’9” but quite slim. I’ve adjusted to the smallest it can go and it’s still loose. I think with weight it’s better that it fit to your body.

Very comfortable weighted vest
I bought this Adjustable Weighted Vest Set, the 2-18 lbs specifically because of the front zipper. I see other people complaining about lifting the non-zip ones over your head. I put it on immediately when I received it and went for a walk.I am about 5’ 3” and 114 pounds. It fit perfectly without any adjustments. The shoulder straps did not cause any pain and the vest felt great. There is a Velcro strap that goes from the right side to the left side over the zipper. So you have to undo that before taking off the vest. I wish that wasn’t there but I can see how that makes the vest more stable and secure to your body. I pulled out half off the weights for the first walk. They are little sand bags on the front and the back. They came out easily and I was afraid they wouldn’t go back in because they are very snug but they do slide right back in the individual pouches easily. There are 1 lb ones and 2 lb weights. I also did some yard work and it worked great. When you walk there is no shifting of the weights. I have not tried running yet.One of my requirements was the adjustable weights so you can work up to the heaviest weight. There is an odor to the vest but it did not seem overwhelming as others have mentioned in other reviews. We will see if it goes away after awhile.
