Put these on my 2005 Honda VTX 1800 S3. As alot of people have said the yoke of these bags is extremely long so be prepared to cut the inside flap down a bit. I simply used tin snips and cut right threw. With that in mind I did have to redrilled the holes for the laces. All in all it's a little work for a great fit. Love the depth to wide ratio of the bags and looks great on my bike too. Definitely keep the 2-3 inch mark from the exhaust. I ended up around 2" and the right side gets hot but not enough to cause any damage so far. Currently have put about 800 miles on with these over the course of a month. Both in town and interstate. I would definitely order these again if I had another crusier.

Although these saddle bags are definitely not shoes, they most certainly do their intended job! They are very roomy and fit nice on the bike with a little adjustment. They give the bike a little extra "pizazz!" There are little pockets on each side of the interior of the bags, so if you have something small you won't lose it down in the bottom. There are carrying handles in case you need to detach them from your bike and carry them. They are nice and sturdy. My boyfriend has had them on his bike for about half of a year and has wrecked a time or two, and they have not lost any quality. He also made the mistake of putting them down a little too low (hence the before mentioned adjustment) and they sat on top of his exhaust pipes, which should have melted them, you would think, but they held up very nicely and are still very well usable! We are impressed and very pleased with this purchase.

The bags are sturdy! Had one set for three yrs.,still in decent shape but,the studs are getting rusty and a couple snap don't work anymore!Went through some tough times and my bike has been out in the weather,mostly with a good bike cover but outside none the less!Have to shorten the strap quite a bit,so the bag does not rest on the pipes!I think,with a little more maintenance,they would still be in great shape!I'm hard on things! Good bags for the money!They also look good on the bike!

Maybe a bit big for a 1987 sportster, but i really like those bags, solid leather, big enough to contain an U-lock, the bike cover, a spare 1/2helmet, some tools, gloves, scarf and some other small things.there are some inside pockets for documents, wallet.I left my bike under lot of rain shower all day and inside the bags was totally dry.The only thing i don't like are the 2 plastic clips to close the lid, they looks cheap plastic.Careful! i really suggest to check if the rear turning signals are in the way, i've to modify my ones and move them back towards the back light. Right now they fit, but is not the best choice.I may post some pictures later.

I wish there was a rating lower than one star. I have had these bags since September 2019, it is 6 November 2019. I readily admit that these were not the most expensive available, but they are totally useless.In the first month the metal fittings rusted ( my bile is kept under cover.)Now the straps that hold the rings that attach the bags to the main part of the system have all broken and I have resorted to using zip ties to keep my bags attached.I am very disappointed, I urge all who are thinking of going with this product to NOT PURCHASE SUCH AN INFERIOR PRODUCT. i cannot return them, I should have when the rust began, but I was willing to overlook small things., but the failure of the attachment straps have rendered these bags useless.

I haven't had these on my bike very long, so I can't attest for the studs rusting - which was a concern with purchasing a cheaper saddlebag. I have a Yamaha V Star 1100 to give an idea of the size of motorcycle. The bags took a bit of changing to get proper fitment. Scissors became my friend with getting the sizing right. I had to cut some of the center length out to allow the bags clearance from the exhaust and allow them to lay flat on the fender for passenger seat reattachment.The bags look nice. I wanted water proof just in case I get caught in a down pour. My concern is the studs rusting; I had a cheaper saddlebag set prior and had bad rusting of the studs on it (different brand though). The description doesn't state what kind of metal the studs are, so I will have to take a wait and see approach. I have had them on the bike for a month and garage kept. I also live by the ocean, so have to worry about oxidation a bit more.The locks on the plastic clasps work fine. I don't like how the saddle bags can be removed so easily from the center stripping. They have ties for saddlebag support bar, but they have spring clasps with no locks attaching them to the center stripping. For more theft protection I bought and placed a small padlock on the top portion of the bag (pictures posted).They aren't supper high quality, but you can expect that at the price point. I needed something nice enough, inexpensive enough, to allow me storage. I can fit a small size half helmet for a passenger in one of the bags, which was what I was looking to do - along with other random stuff in the other.10/28/2012Update: So far, no rusting of the studs.

Do not buy for smaller bikes these are large. On a 97 fatboy
