(2) IonPod Stainless Steel Water Ionizers by Healthy Habits (DOUBLE PACK)

I've done quite a bit of research on ionizers and making alkaline water prior to purchasing the Ionpod. There are many ways to make it (check out ehow for the list). The Ionpod uses one of the known methods. It is not a scam as some folks may think, in that it does what it says, it raises the ph level of water. As far as any health benefits, well that's for you to discover.I've been using my ionpod for 2 weeks now. I've read here that some people have had trouble with the basket rusting, so at first I took special care to dry off the basket after each use. Then I got lazy and stopped doing it but I haven't seen any rusting. I'm wondering if there are knock-offs out there which are not of the same quality. Especially suspect to me would be the one's arriving in "beautifully non descript boxes", as some people have stated. Mine is made by Healthy Habits and the box it came in is clearly labeled "Ionpod" and "Healthy Habits" and has the same picture of the woman drinking from it as shown on the right of the screen. Some people are mistakenly using ph test strips to test the water. These strips are intended to test urine and saliva. You need to use testing drop or a meter to get an accurate result. One other thing to be aware of is that the Ionpod is not a water purifier. It will make the water taste better but all the nasty stuff in your tap water is still there after going through the Ionpod so if you are concerned with your health, which I presume you are because you are interested in this product, you need to run your tap water through a water filter first. Not all water filters are the same as to what they protect you against, do your homework. I had been using a Brita but the filter was ready to be replaced so I did some research and decided to change to a Seychelle water pitcher, which is taking me a little while to get used to but I'm happy with it. One more tip, you need to start out slow, drinking only about 10 oz of Ionpod water over the day, and gradually add to that each day, or you might not feel very well. I was impatient after the first day and drank more than I should have. I had a stomach ache and a foggy head for a couple of days. Follow the directions so that it doesn't happen to you. There is a nice instruction manual that you can find on line, but curiously, it isn't on the manufacturer's website nor does it come with the product. It only comes with a kind of quick start pamphlet.I've tested many sources of water, prior to running it through the Ionpod and then after, with varying results. I usualy end up with anywhere from a PH or 8.5 to 9.5, but once I acheived 10. So, it works. It tastes soft and slightly sweet compared to other water. You aren't supposed to use it to take perscription meds and when I take them with regular water, I can really taste the difference. I'm finding I drink more water because it tastes so good, especially chilled. It's only been two weeks so I'm reluctant to say that the positive changes I've noticed are attributed to the water, or that they are actually occuring and not just positive thinking on my part, but I'm sleeping better, I'm calmer in stressful situations at work, I'm hungrier and have been eating a little more, which isn't a good thing but I haven't gained any weight! I've actually lost a pound and a half, which makes me wonder if it is speeding up my metabolism. At 55, I though that was an impossibility. Normally, everytime I deviate from my usual eating habits, I gain weight. I hope that after a month, and then two months, I'm able to report that I continue to enjoy these benefit and hopefully others.

I ordered two bottles - one for myself, and one for my boyfriend (about a month and a half ago now)- after I read about the benefits of ionized water. Bottles are nice looking, filter needs replacement only after a year of constant usage, and even some picky guys like my boyfriend don't mind carrying it around. Water tastes fresh, but be sure to use filtered water if you don't want a smell of chlorine from reg.tap water. Another thing - if you leave your water sit in a bottle for a couple of days it might smell and taste funky and stale. I washed it with vinegar solution like it says in the pamphlet and it seems to be fine now.As for benefits - we haven't noticed much difference yet, but we are pretty healthy people. I also read that it just might take much longer for one to notice a difference if you don't have obvious health issues.One thing I can tell for sure is that when I have a heartburn and drink this water right away - my heartburn goes away, no need for soda bicarbonate or drugs anymore. I also made coffee using ionized water and it does taste less acidic. I will keep using it and do recommend to those who are "health freaks" like myself.

I have been using this product for 2 days now and have been drinking about the same amount of water that I usually drink (close to 8 glasses a day) and feel like I am better hydrated than normal. I love the taste and silky feel of the water after the ph has been raised. I notice that when I drink my regular tap water that it leaves my whole mouth with a dry, almost gritty feeling, but not after the ph is raised. I tested my regular tap water and then water that had been in the IonPod for the suggested 5 minutes and saw that my tap water was about a 6.0 and after the IonPod was a 9.0 (10.0 being the highest). From what I understand, this product needs no replacement filters and only a simple vinegar cleaning every so often. I feel like this is definitely worth the money because I have used the X20 1 time use packets that do the same thing but cost about a dollar each (1 packet per 18-24 oz. of water). If anyone cares for an update, I can give one when I have used the product for a little while longer to comment on the manufacturer's claims of smoother skin, better sleep, and weight-loss(which I assume is just water weight).

After looking at a number of products and reviews I am very satisfied with my purchase. The price is much better for 2 so I went that route.This product is portable, well constructed and comes with a dropper with a pH reagent to test your water before and after. I tested my family drinking water (tap to GE filtered refrigerator door to Pur water pitcher) before using the IonPod and compared to the pH Chart (also provided)... the color reflected around 6.0-6.5. Then, after following the exact instructions included with the IonPod, I tested my first batch... it came up a 9.0-9.5.My tap-fridge-pitcher system does a decent job of removing the dirty metallic taste from my water but I have to also mention that this product made it taste even better.I am new to the ionizing water concept so will wait to see if the claims are true, but I can attest to the fact that this product does what it says as far as pH is concerned.

I love my IonPod Stainless Steel Water Ionizers. This allows me to save $$$ money on buying alkaline water. Knowing the benefits of drinking it, this does the job for me. I gave one to my son too. I do wish it was bigger and held more water. But, I can work with it. Unfortunately, the solution that came with to test the water,was dried out. Luckily I had my own. 4 stars.

I bought this about 2 months ago and and am overall happy and use this daily. It comes with drops to test the ph of your water. My tap water tests yellow (acidic) and the water from this pod tests blue (alkaline) after just 2-3 min. It's a big difference. I have not noticed any dramatic health changes allthough I KNOW it's alkaline water that I'm drinking all day and that makes me feel good. I would recommend this product and I would buy it again!
