This oil is extracted from organic, raw perilla seeds grown and harvested, also cold processed and packaged in South Korea. Using raw seeds with cold pressed is critical to extract healthy oil because roasted seeds become oxidized during the roasting process and cause inflammation when consumed. I like the fact that it comes in a dark glass bottle to preserve its potency. I’m diabetic and managing it without meds, but only with food and exercise, so I pay a lot of attention on everything I eat. I pour it over my veggies and cooked brown rice like I would with olive oil, and eat it slowly and chew until the food becomes like juice. I’v noticed a significant difference with my glucose going up very slowly so I can enjoy my meal. I’m also pour it over sliced apple. Do not use this oil for cooking with heat. The empty bottles come in handy as I pour the Extra Virgin Olive Oil from Costco.
