Easy to use and read
Got this to replace an old, standard mercury thermometer (that never worked properly anyway).Used straightaway to diagnose my wife's fever and infection, so straight to the doctor. What's great about this is that it is so quick to use and get the result; you place the metal end on your forehead, press the HEAD button and then it beeps and shows you a green (good) or red (dangerous temperature) reading so you know straightaway where you stand.You don't need instructions for this, it is very intuitive. There is also an EAR mode, but I haven't had the need to use that so can't comment on whether it's useful or accurate.

Not good
Been advised the forehead use of the thermometer will always been inaccurate as its usually the hottest place on the body. The readings differed quite a bit each time i tested within a 10 second window. The ear part of this item is quite big for a baby, i feel like it hurts my baby this could lead to ear issues. So this hasn't been used at all since purchase, I did buy as a spare, now i cannot pit faith in it at all. I suggest buying braun ones, which i have as a main.

Questionable accuracy
Although the build quality is great and it's really easy to use I have serious doubts over the accuracy of the readings. It seems to give a different temperature each time it's used but with only seconds in between. It also gives different temperatures depending on whether it's used on the forehead or ear.

Random numbers generator
If you are a software engineer, you should know how is it difficult to produce absolutely random numbers (not a pseudo-random one!). This thermometer does it, but in a limited range, hence not all starts given! (kind of joke)In reality, you can't trust this thermometer at all:( Unfortunately, sometimes you have to rely on a thermometer in a decision like give/not paracetamol or ibuprofen to your kid. This one will not tell you. Was trying to use it for 6 monthes, so it is not a first impression.

Dangerously wrong
Erratic results, confirmed when daughter was in A&E. Doctor’s digital in ear read 37.8, this unit used immediately after read 36.1. Just wrong, potentially very dangerous. Can’t short cut kit like this, now spent more on a Braun.

DO NOT PURCHASE!
Rarely do I post negative reviews, but this has to be done. What a disastrous product. Found to be misreading when paramedics were called out to me. Cannot be relied on to be accurate. Used for the first time at the weekend.

Not accurate
This thermometer has probably never given the correct temperature as everytime i use it. It gives me a different reading. I was really worried about my babies drop in body temperature and it waa giving me readings ranging from 35.6-36.6 all in one minute and i was using the ear which should be the most accurate one. I am very disappointed in this product as its not cheap either. I would rather have paid a little more and invested in a more accurate product.

Must product for every parent!
Got this device to monitor the temperature of my newborn baby. It gives accurate readings, very handy. Reasonable prices.Piece of advice, if possible, take the batteries out if you aren't using it for a longer time else it calls for a battery change soon.
