I don't know what an "ir" is but to me there's a lot of sounds that are pretty cool and a few that I don't much care about but I think that's normal with any fx processor. They label them funny names so it's hard to compare them to real world gear if that tells you anything. To load an effect all you do is turn a dial or press a button. It's easy to use. **Q: When connected to a computer, can I hear the sounds thru my computer speakers?** A: Depends what you mean by computer speakers. I’d you are not talking about JUST the native speakers on the computer, but a computer speaker set up to have, you can if you have the right kind of speakers/setup. I have near field monitor speakers called Yamaha hs8’s and since they have an xlr port on the back I can run these directly to the speakers or into my audio interface that runs to them. If you like to record and listen to playing through quality speakers I highly recommend getting a quality digital audio interface. I have a m audio 2x2 and it has worked wonders for me through the years. I admit I could use more ports, but it does the trick.
