Before finalizing my move I wanted to see exactly how much has changed. This book has been a quick read, and it is chock full of relevant and easy to digest material on OpenSSH (2) and PuTTY. I would say that even for a novice with little to no experience (you'd require a basic or just a cursory knowledge of the subject matter to keep up), the text is clear and easy to comprehend. I would venture to say that at the end of this book, you'd have a basic to intermediate knowledge of the subject. Excellent book! I would consider this a must read! As you guys know, a lot of the config file explanations can be found in the manual pages, but what makes this book stand out is that the author writes from his experience about the expectations and consequences of enable/disabling certain settings on your SSH server. Experience is a valuable thing to have on your side when you are new to a certain topic which is what makes this book is great.
