Dex Products Wipe Warmer Dual Top Heating

I thought that this would be a nice thing to do, warm the wipes first, I was right. The first week I had it I thought gee, I don't know if this is really worth it, they aren't hot enough, so I unplugged it and realized the huge difference it did make. While they aren't hot (and really you don't want them to be) they are toasty warm and only when you get down to the last 2 or 3 wipes on the bottom are they a little cooler. No dry out or browning. The lid locks and unlocks with a slide latch that makes access very easy to load & stays closed when pulling up. I totally recommend this warmer, would get it again in a heartbeat! If your considering getting a warmer this is a great choice (and a warm little touche will be very grateful!)

I consider a wipe warmer to be one of the best baby gifts you can give....to the baby! When you think about how it feels to have a cold wet wipe touch your bare bottom, no wonder many babies cry when being changed. This was such a great invention. I wish they had made these when my daughter was a baby. Thank goodness they made them by the time my grandchildren came along.I bought this unit as a baby shower gift. My friend says it works great. The one issue I had with the wipe warmer years ago was that by the time you got near the bottom of the pile, the wipes were an ugly yellowish brown color from the heat. I don't think that affected the wipe, but it didn't look very nice. This Dex wipe warmer heats from the top, so the bottom wipes haven't been exposed to the heat long enough to discolor them. That's a nice improvement.Even though the wipes don't stay warm long once they're removed from the warmer, the chill has still been removed and they're much closer to body temperature. This is my favorite gift for new mothers and fathers.

I prefer to use cloth wipes...not for any kind of environmental reason (though that's nice as well). But they're just nicer...it's like, would you want to wash yourself with a washcloth or a bunch of wet toilet paper? And to add to that...would you want to wash with a warm washcloth or a cold one?My main reason for a wipes warmer is a storage spot for the cloth wipes. Folded in half, 20 cloth wipes fit perfect in this warmer. Keeping them warm is just a little added bonus for the baby.With our first child, we used the type that warms from the bottom. We always found that once we'd made it to the bottom, the wipes were dried out and a couple times even burned a little. This warmer works from the top and we have not had those issues at all. The only drawback is that when it's full, the top wipes are nice and warm. The ones toward the bottom never really get all that warm though. But really, if it means no more dried out & burned wipes, I'm OK with that.

This warmer is terrible. I purchased it off of someone else's reccomendation in a review of another warmer that I bought from Amazon (and returned as it stopped working correctly after 1 month) They said this one was great but it's not. The wipes are pulled through a gaping hole in the top with what looks like was the manufacturer's attempt at pointed edges to catch the wipes as you pull so that only one comes out but that does not work at all. It only servers to gouge your hand as you fight with the wipes coming out. While one hand is busy holding baby, the other hand pulls an endless string of wipes out of this piece of junk because nothing stops the rest of the wipes from coming out when you pull. It needs a rubber gasket of some kind to not only prevent multiple wipes being dispensed but to keep the wipes from drying out. Sure, the thing has a lid and yes the lid closes tight but I just got this product yesterday and today, an entire, brand new package of wipes dried out in this wamer because of the gaping hole at the top that the wipes are supposed to be pulled through. I am now returning this item and venturing onto my THIRD attempt at finding a warmer worth using. DO NOT BUY THIS.

Ordered this warmer to keep my facial wipes warm during the winter. it does take the chill out of the wipes---but that's all it does. when the wipe is removed from the warmer it's barely warm and is cool by the time you get it to your face. I am really disappointed in the performance of this item. its better than nothing -----but not much better. cannot recommend this item as it's just not warm enough. it's too cool even for a baby !!

I couldn't decide between this box and the munchkin one. Then I noticed the brand name on this one was "Dex Baby". Since my baby's name is Dexter and his nickname is Dex, I arbitrarily chose this warmer over the other. It works great, the wipes pop up as they should, and the wipes are always warm and moist -- never crunchy or soggy. Baby Dex certainly appreciates it! As others have said, keep this box half full or more for it to work its best.

It's not worth the money. It does not dry out the wipes, but in the 2 seconds that it takes to get the wipe from the dispenser to the baby's bum, the wipe gets cold. I'm sure this is true for all wipe warmers.

When my baby girl was first born, changing her diapers at nightime was a lot of stress... from the time the cold wipes hit her skin, they seemed to pull the screams from her toes. We started warming the wipes in the microwave to add some warmth to them, but this was not very practical.This warmer provided exactly what was needed to us... we had a wonderful, warm wipe dispenser - nightime changes were no longer the screaming matches we previously experienced.We add water to the wipes when we top up as was recommended and have not experienced any drying out or browning of any of the wipes... honestly, the wipes don't remain in the dispenser long enough for that to happen. We have never used it without adding the water, so we don't know how the wipes would fare in that case. As it is, we're all very pleased with this purchase... another item that isn't really thought about as essential for baby, but in our case it was.
