I pulled all the pieces out, took off the protective coat on the base and placed it where I wanted the final display set up. I then used a combo of my nails and the provided puck to get one corner of the protective film up on each side. It's practically impossible to do with the gloves on. Once I had enough up on all the pieces, I put on the gloves, pulled all the film off and put all the pieces in place. Putting the top on was when i needed help to keep all the pieces lined up and connected properly. If you dont have another person, you could use a rubberband or string to hold the sides together while placing the top. All that said, it would be a nightmare to move once assembled because the little pieces that interlock are not terribly sturdy. So build it on the surface you intend to leave it on. The price is a quarter of what I would have paid for a custom case. So, I'm pleased with the product. And once you take the film off, the sides are crystal clear and look incredible. I wanted something to protect them so they wouldn’t get dusty (it’s impossible to dust coral). The box is kinda hard to put together because it’s just little notches cut out of the plastics that slip into little holes cut out of the plastic on coordinated pieces. With only two hands, it hard to keep the sides you’ve already done together, while you add the other sides. Once together you can’t pick it up and move it without the pieces coming apart so build it where you want it to sit. The sides are also not sealed at all and let air in but still does a fine job of keeping dust out. But the box is hard to clean as it comes apart when you touch it to wipe it off. It would be a much better design if it came with a solid, already built cube and the base. Then you could arrange your stuff on the base and just slip the cube over the top. The base itself is also flimsy. I kept it because it serves the purpose I need it for and I’m not over all unhappy. I was just expecting more sturdiness once put together, for the price. You have to assembly it yourself and the pieces are poorly 3D cut. They don’t fit perfectly so it’s got a bend and won’t sit flat and mine had broken edges upon opening.
