Fizik Cyrano +/- 7 Degree Aluminum R5 Stem

This is a great quality stem.I’m building a track bike, and I’ve got a frame that’s correctly sized for me, but the complete bike came with a stem that was too short.This Fizik Cyrano remedies that. It’s longer, the correct angle for my needs, is well made, and seems fairly light.I like that the logo on each side is printed in a different direction, so you’ll have a Fizik logo printed upright and one upside down on your bike. Other stems I was looking at only had the logo printed in a way that made them both upside down if I set it to have a bit more rise.Overall, this is a great quality part and I’m very happy with the purchase.

I purchased this 80mm stem to reduce the reach of the 110mm stem that came with my new bike. Perfect length. I am 6'2 250lbs and ride a 58cm frame.The only reason I gave this 4 out 5 stars is due to the odd bolt head size. I have a bunch of hex & star bits and still had a difficult time finding the appropriate size. I would be willing to pay a few bucks more to have the correct hex or star bit included with this item.

Great stem for the price. I had to torque it to 6Nm (suggested 5Nm). Don't know if my Torque wrench was off but it was a little loose at 5Nm. I also used the black hex screws from my previous stem instead of the ones that came with the stem. The one's with the stem are Torx wrench instead of hex head plus I like the black better than silver screws.

I went from a 110mm to a 90mm, 7 degree stem on my road bike for the sake of my back. I am 6’3 and 200 lbs. on a 60 cm Trek bike. Big difference. However, I noticed the steering control was a bit more touchy due to the shorter length. I probably wouldn’t recommend going with a stem length shorter than this because of this reason. The stem is easy to install, the quality is very evident, and it looks great.

Exactly what I wanted- well packaged.

Very nice. You can tell attention was given to making this. It's very light weight and the bolts have conical washers to avoid shear load.Note there is a gap in the fork clamp so if your fork is unfinished aluminum, you will see that. Not something that bothers me.

As always, prime delivery is on point. Lightweight, easy to install, I did use a blue lock tight, just for safety assurance, torqued it to the specification. See photos attached.

I needed a new stem for new bars. The stem is very nice, it works well, but it is heavier than I expected, but, with that said, it was half or more than half the price of a carbon fiber stem. Overall, I'm very happy with it.

If you want a stem, then this works as a stem, just like any other stem. Pros over other stems I considered: the graphics look nice (and work either way up), and the bolts that hold the handlebar on are angled relative to the stem itself, so my bike computer bracket is angled more towards me. Slight con: the same bolts thread into a closed hole, so if you use longer bolts (as I did to attach the bracket) they might bottom out. Also, the supplied bolts use a torx bit, which you might not have on you when out and about. Why not a hex bit like those found in every bike tool?

While this is a good quality product I encountered one annoying problem. The stem does not come with regular nuts requiring an allen key. You need a screwdriver with a star shaped attachment in order to mount the stem. I do not know the reason for this other than a security feature. A person trying to steal the stem would have to have the appropriate screwdriver!

Pricey for alloy stem, but nicely engineered and finished. Not a wealth of other choices in 130mm length, and I do prefer alloy over carbon fiber for a long stem application

Stem molto leggero anche perché misura 90mm e poi ha l'angolo di 7° pertanto era ciò che cercavo, l'unica cosa che non mi piace e che l'attacco al canotto della forcella è scoperto ed esteticamente non è bellissimo a vedersi.

While the r5 is heavier, it is a well built stem for a half decent price.
