For anything other than brush and hard-to-kill vegetation, I have found that 4 ounces per gallon, works just as well. Once mixed, this product does not store well for extended periods. When left unused for a few months or over the winter, it tends to develop a pulp-like consistency that clogs up the pump sprayer.
