I found ION for animals, no scent (you know how picky cats are) and started putting a teaspoon in his fresh water (bottled, not tap) and within a month, he stopped getting sick. He has not been sick in a year. This is so effective for your pet's health. It's so worth the money for their well being!

## Questions & Answers

**Q: instructions say to put this in 1/4 cup of dechlorinated water. Can I then add the water to his food?**
A: ION*Pet should be added to 1/2 a cup of filtered water.  While we cannot recommend usage outside of adding ION*Pet to water, many customers report adding it directly to their pet's food, to ensure the entire amount is consumed.

**Q: Is the formula different than the one marketed for people?**
A: I think it might be slightly different because it's for canines. But it is pretty much the same ingredients that I can tell by looking at the ingredient lists on both bottles. I have an old bottle of Restore and it says under the ingredient list it has amino acids (I think? I don't have the bottle in front of me) but I don't see that listed under the pet's ingredient list. Then again I only have the older human bottles that say Restore and I only have the newer version for Pet's that says ION Biome.

**Q: Does this need to be refrigerated once opened?**
A: ION* does not require refrigeration as there are no ingredients that can "go bad" nor can ION* grow bacteria.  It is very shelf stable.  In fact, based on testing, we know that ION* is good for up to six years past the manufacturing date or use by "best by" date which is located on the bottom of the bottle.  One can certainly refrigerate their ION* if preferred.

**Q: Is this product 3rd party tested? Also why is there silica in the pet formula and not people formula? which form of silica is it (quartz, plants etc)**

We take the safety of our product very seriously. Our Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Team does regular testing for bacterial contamination, heavy metals, and overall product composition and strength. In compliance with California’s Prop 65 legislation, we test ION*Gut Health for levels of mercury, lead, arsenic, and cadmium and the NASC certifies our quality system. 

In regards to our pet product, it is an organified silica, not in ionic or mineral form. Silica - in liquid form - strengthens digestion in canines and felines. When a pet is given liquid silica orally, it covers the inner linings of your pet’s intestinal tract, assisting in the tightening of the gut while maintaining high bioavailability (it passes through urine).  It also boosts absorption of the aqueous Humous Substances in ION*Gut Health for Pets.

If your animal is having gut issues, throwing up, this product is for you. I almost lost my dear 13-year-old cat 2 years ago because of the ingrediencies in his food. Came home one day, throw up all over and he was extremely lethargic. Took him to the vet, changed his food. He got better but occasionally was still throwing up. I take the human ION and bought the pet ION for her. Started giving her a teaspoon each morning in her food. Within 3 days she was so much better; her energy came back, appetite increased and she's doing great. I will never stop giving her this product. I highly recommend.
