Instead, connect the negative lead to a suitable chassis earth so the car correctly detects that the battery is being charged. The Time To Go display isn’t just a gimmick – it provides genuinely useful information on the progress of the charge. My only minor criticism is that I’d like the cable between the charger and the connector to be a little longer. It isn’t quite long enough to reach comfortably over the bonnet to the ground, so I tend to rest the charger on the plastic trim below the windscreen instead. Once charging is complete, the charger automatically switches into CARE mode, making it suitable for long-term maintenance charging if your vehicle is in storage or you simply want to keep the battery topped up. The eyelet connector is also well sealed against dust and water ingress, although I’d still avoid leaving it somewhere water could collect. Fixed connection to battery means easy connection without removing covers ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Well impressed *by P***N on 16 October 2025* Absolutely quality bit of kit, my project work van had been sitting for months with a dead battery and after having this on the battery is as good as new and not needed to worry about battery life as this is now plugged in permanentl, I now have it on maintenance mode and have not had to worry about it since, its incredibly easy to use and comes with 2 different types of connector leads, I have it hard wired into my battery and it has some very nice clips if you wish to disconnect at any point.
