Used/abused
I opened the first box to see a black damascus box, opened the box to find a used red damascus blade that fell out of a very loose scabbard. One of the allen screws was missing off the handle as well. It also had either cat/dog hair on the wrap around the scabbard. Im disgusted to say the least.

Knife and sword lover my whole life.
Love love love this Damascus Steel Red Wakizashi!!!! People complain that because it was made in China it is not Damascus. Which is very ignorant. Domascus Steel is made of specific metals and is an art form of folding the metal for strength of the blade. Does not need to be Japanese for either of these. Keep this blade next to the drivers side of my car for any crazy road rages. People also complain about the sharpness of the blade which is another form of ignorance. Damascus Steel is know for its strength and ability to cut without becoming chipped or bent. Which this blade firmly passes that test. It has my 100% approval. Length and weight are perfect in my opinion. Love the handle to death. Shieth is nice however the string to tie it around your back is poor quality and far too short for any adult. Besides that it gains 5 stars!!!!

Excellent blade with poor handle construction
The pommel snapped off on a basic water bottle test and the the cheep handle screws came already stripped out but the blade itself is excellent quality. It did come dull but that keeps the edge from chipping so I was ok with it.

A very pretty sword shaped object
First off the sword is of pretty good quality and build. The Damascus is gorgeous and the fit is tight. HOWEVER it has possibly the WORST edge I’ve seen to date. The bottom 3 inches aren’t even beveled to an angle and is flat to the touch. I would only recommend this product if you are adept in sharpening blades because you most definitely will have to.

Good sword
Very sturdy sword. Didn’t arrive very sharp, it will take some extra work to sharpen up. Should be a great sword after it’s sharp though.

Just a good paint
Their just painted the red starts coming off with a magic eraser. And sharpened it will come right off. It's a shame too because I love this brand of sword. I have a set of the other swords they sell. I will still buy off them in the future just not this type of swords.

Awesome sword
Very impressed with the quality of this sword. Mine came already sharpened. It’s not super sharp but it good enough for me.

What you need to know about this blade
First things first I am very happy with my purchase. This sword is high quality and worth every penny, but there's some things you should know about it before deciding to purchase it. Number one would be that this blade is HEAVY. the sword is marketed as a wakizashi, but the blade is almost double the thickness of a normal katana and has deep blood grooves on each side. I would compare it to more of a saber than a katana. This also makes the blade HIGHLY durable if not heavy (I did not have a problem with this, I prefer heavyer blades as is). Great for strikes, not so much for slashes. The handle feels just like it looks. Mine does not wobble at all and feels secure to grip. The sword is authentic damascus, many complain that they can "scratch off" the outer layer and find regular steel below it, but the color and waves on it come from quenching the blade in oil. It's damascus all the way through. In summary, this is the most battle ready weapon I've seen in a long time,Durable and strong.
