I used my roommates quest 2 and I know what I have is better in that regard. It's great that I can run some emulators sideloaded. My lenses are scuffed. Your not getting prescription lenses from Zenni optical if you have progressives. They don't support it. I'll need to find another option and figure out how to replace the factory lenses. Build is ok, controllers need a grip set. They were made to be dropped so meta makes more money. Can't say the wrist strap rings work well. I bought a grip set to protect controllers. I use my quest every day for three plus hours and the battery life is incredible up to a whole week on a single AA per controller. I bought rechargeable batteries... Be aware that your batteries may die without warning. Indicator will show full battery life until dead. The head strap sucks. The quest pulls forward and is uncomfortable without an external head strap battery to balance the weight. By the way, your headset battery life is 2 hours. You need to plug it in or use the head strap battery for longer use. The visuals and resolution is good. I watch YouTube at full screen with good quality. 720p is great. 1080p is a bit of a gamble with buffering possible. Look what it costs to what you get.... I got a lot for what I paid. Overall?... If you’re a parent, you know the cycle—your kid HAS to have the hot Christmas gift, they play with it nonstop for two weeks, and then it mysteriously becomes expensive bedroom decor. I’m happy to report that wasn’t the case here! We bought the Meta Quest 3S (128GB) for my son for Christmas, and SEVEN months later he’s still using it regularly. That’s probably the biggest compliment I can give it. What I love: * No PC required! We were up and running quickly without needing to spend hundreds more on additional equipment. * Super easy setup and very user-friendly. * Great battery life—we’re not constantly hunting for the charger. * Plenty of games and experiences to keep it from getting old. * The controller wrist straps are a must and have undoubtedly saved us from a few flying-controller incidents. * It’s portable enough to use almost anywhere you have the space. My only complaints are things I wish Meta would’ve included. For something designed to be portable, I really feel it should come with a protective carrying case. It seems odd to market portability and then require an additional purchase just to safely transport and protect it. I also wish it included an extra washable face cushion or head strap since they can get dirty pretty quickly with regular use.
