Worth a try
I'm sure it's perfect for the right notebook! I tried to double the RAM (1-2 GB) on an msi U100 xp. I installed it easily enough, but system properties show no change? - must have researched incorrectly.

Computer would only accept one of the sticks. It has improved the performance of the computer, but I need to sell one/send one back. Bit of a pain!

Works perfectly well
I have purchased this memory (2GB DDR2 667) to upgrade an old laptop from 1GB to 2GB or hopefully 3GB in case old and new memory managed to work together. Well, they didn't do it as they were different brand + different chips (old Samsung, new Hynix) so with memory you never know how it is going to be so I don't count this as a negative - it is just the way the technology is. Installed as a single stick this one works perfectly well and as expected there is a definite speed improvement going from 1GB to 2GB on a XP laptop (Acer).

Great 2007 MacBook memory upgrade
I wanted to upgrade my white 2.0GHz Core2Duo MacBook 3.1 (late 2007) to OS X Lion so needed to increase installed 2 x 512MB to minimum of 2GB. According to [...] the 2.0GHz Core2Duo MacBook 3.1 can use up to 6GB memory. I bought Komputerbay 2GB stick at £22 plus 4GB stick at £37 with free and fast delivery and now have maximum memory upgrade at minimum price! Also replaced installed 80GB hard drive with 1TB Samsung HN-M101MBB. Been running for a month with no problems.

Regenerated LE1600 Tablet
I used this to regenerate an old LE1600 tablet, replacing its slow 40Gb drive, at the same time as I increased its 1Gb of RAM to 2Gb. It originally ran XP Tablet Edition but now runs Linux Mint and really flies compared to the old system.

Upgrade older computer RAM
I wanted to try and upgrade my Acer Extensa 5630 from 4GB RAM to 8GB. The RAM Modules (2 x 4GB) fitted in perfectly and works very well. I would recommend this product to anyone who wants to upgrade a bit older computers, inexpensively.
