I used this with my Sony FDR-AX53 Handycam. It allows me to take a Line Out level from my audio mixer and feed that into the mic input of the Handycam. The 1/8-inch jacks are gold plated and there is also a gain control. Review: Perfect for my Situation - I do a lot of video recording using a mic to a mixer to a looping station and then a main line out to a camera mic in. The sound from the line was overwhelming for the camera mic in and I would have to lower the volume from the line out to the camera mic in so low that it was hard to monitor.
