It's not as quick as an electronic pump, but in my opinion it's more convenient. No loud noises with this one. No cumbersome cleaning of endless little parts and tubes. You don't have to hold it to the breast, since it sucks onto it and stays there. The suction is not as uncomfortable as with some other breast pumps. You can use it while feeding baby on the other side and catch whatever would otherwise just drip into your bra. And I've even used it for relieving clogged milk ducts. It will not stimulate excessive milk production because the suction is gentler.
