Review: Wheels within wheels.... - Here I was expecting just another installment of the Horus Heresy saga, military SF at its finest ... and all of a sudden a John le Carre novel broke out.... Dan Abnett never disappoints. Great characters, a fiendishly complicated plot with mysterious twists and turns, and an ambiguous cliffhanger of an ending leaving the reader with a feeling of unresolved dramatic tension and suspenseful dread.

Here I was expecting just another installment of the Horus Heresy saga, military SF at its finest ... and all of a sudden a John le Carre novel broke out.... Dan Abnett never disappoints. Great characters, a fiendishly complicated plot with mysterious twists and turns, and an ambiguous cliffhanger of an ending leaving the reader with a feeling of unresolved dramatic tension and suspenseful dread.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Decent 40k Story

It's pretty good. It's not near as exciting as the first six books but for a totally separate story, it's decent. As always, Dan Abnett wraps up everything very nicely in the last 15 pages. I'm not a Alpha Legion fan, but for those who are, they will enjoy it. 7.5\10
