The motion sensor lights built into the garage opener had stopped functioning... Replacing their circuit-boards to fix the issue would have cost almost as much as new garage door openers... Driving into the garage in the evenings, without lights in the garage, meant fumbling around with keys to unlock the door lock leading into the house. Alternative was to leave the switch-controlled lights always on, wasting electricity.Then I started looking around for solutions. Found this bulb pack. Installed two of these into the switch-controlled bulb holders in the garage. Now I can leave the switch control for these bulbs in the ON position all the time. I installed the remaining two bulbs from the 4-pack outside my front door.The amazing motion sensor technology integrated into these bulbs takes care of the turning ON part -- when we actually need the light. These wonders turn off within 30 seconds after it stops detecting any motion. Also they don't turn on when there is daylight. Even when they turn on, these bulbs need 8 or 9 watts of electricity.I would say these bulbs are the next great thing in consumer electronics after smart phones. A 4-pack of these bulbs is cheaper than a restaurant meal. Even Edison would be impressed!

I have two of these in the garage, and two in the front porch. The ones in the garage seem to behave fairly well, but the ones in the porch just turn on every few seconds. There is nothing to trigger them, yet they trigger all the same, from dust till dawn. I had another pair that were IR that started doing the same thing after a few months before they completely quite. We'll see if these die.They are nice when they work. Unlike the IR they trigger pretty quick and don't have to directly see you to turn on. The one just inside the garage will trigger by walked up to the garage door so it is on by the time you open the door to go in.

I just received these today and was so excited to be able to have motion sensor lights in all my closets. Yeah, well, not excited anymore. They don't work. They won't turn off. There are no instructions in the box and nothing from the seller either for contact information. No contact information I can find on the ad here on Amazon. So I'll write this. I've had two of them in two different closets for over an hour now. I've tried turning them on and off so if maybe it takes that to get them set or something. They should be just screw in and they work. Neither of them have turned off yet except when I turn off the switch and I'm pretty sure that's not how they're suppose to work.

Do not freak out when installing this bulb for the first time. I thought that it is not working, and I forgot that this is a sensor bulb. It was bright outside during the time that I installed it, so I thought that it wasn't working. I figured everything when it got a little darker. Finally, it was a fantastic sensor after all. The sensor sensitivity adjusts to the level of light of the surroundings: the darker the surroundings, the more sensitive it is to turn on.

Nothing to dislike We are using them for the front porch and back porch lights. No need to have a light on all the time. the other two are in the kitchen and dining room passage lights. very nice and would recommend highly.

I give this product a 0!!! They aren't Motion sensor nor do they even work!!!

They work as described... almost too well! These can see through walls! I have them installed in outdoor fixtures and every time someone walks within 10-15 feet of them inside the house, they turn on! So they may be too annoying for me, but they definitely work well. The light emitted is clean and powerful
