It is water soluble (easy clean up), non-toxic, biodegradable and when thoroughly mixed/stirred according to directions, it goes on smoothly. It looks milky when wet, but dries crystal clear. Once dry, every thread and fabric detail is visible in the finished piece, and my textile vessels remain stiff and strong. The final finish can feel slightly rough/gritty to the touch, but a light sanding (200 grit) takes care of that without changing the look of the finished piece. Just vaccum, or wipe off sanding residue with a damp cloth. Unfortunately, it IS expensive, but goes a long way and I'm okay with paying a little more for a reliably great product. Review: perfect for finger in needle felting. - I use this in 1/2 water 1/2 powertex to make fingers for my needle felted dolls. This week I have been using it to make tendrils for needle felted pumpkins.
