A very samey game...
First of all lets get one thing straight I am a trekkie through and through, so I was awaiting the arrival of Armada 2 with much eagerness, but sadly to say I'm disappointed. It is a very good game, however it bears too many similarties with the original Armada. There are a few new ships on offer, but all the special weapons are identical bar one or two. The graphics are improved but thats to be expected. The gameplay is improved and the user interface slicker, generally an altogether better looking game. The only thing is if you already have the original game and you aren't that much into star trek then I can't justify spending ... or more on it. However if you are loyal there is little things on offer to make you smile. Such as the cargo vessels where you can trade in major commodities of metals, dilithium and latinum, also they'll carry gagh, romulan ale, even tribbles and other strange cargo's.You have the Borgs new fusion cubes, (be afraid, be very afraid),and the inclusion of species 8472.But is it enough I don't think so, not quite. So my advice is if you already own the original Armada try before you buy, if not you won't be disappointed, as it is a good game just a little too much the same.

Don't be fooled.
It's the cheap German version, no patches available to play it in English.

Not as Good as i thought
Star trek Armada 1 was a great game, and Armada II is supposed to be a sequal to this. however i was very dissapointed with the game, which i thought would have been an upgrade to the first release. The game itself seems only to have just changed the look of the stations, true there are a few more ships, abd more missions, but hardly worth paying money for. There were many different modifications produced my proffesional modders that gave Armada 1 a great deal more that what Armada II offers, and for free.

An excellent game
Would recommend for Star Trek fans only. Star Trek Armada II is a vast improvement on its predecessor, with an array of new ships as well as two other races. However, the missions are very similar to those in A1 and quite frankly the campaign got very boring very quickly.

Great
Great classic game. If you like Command and Conquer, Starcraft 2 and Warcraft 3. You will enjoy this.
