The Extech 401014A is a precision handheld and benchtop thermometer and calibration source featuring a large 3.5-digit LCD flip-up display, adjustable 0-24mA and 0-10V outputs, and versatile measurement modes for mA, percent, and mV, designed to deliver accurate process signal calibration and measurement with ease.

## Description

Extech’s Big Digit Thermometer simultaneously displays indoor and outdoor temperatures plus it has a user programmable High and Low alarm for outdoor (external probe) temperature. Its wired external weatherproof probe with a 9.6ft (3m) thin cable can easy be installed through windows, doors, or any small openings leading to outdoors or inside a refrigerator/freezer or temperature controlled areas/rooms. Internal memory stores Min/Max readings over time. Thermometer includes a built-in stand for desktop display and mounting bracket for wall display.

Review: Easy to read even from a distance - I can read the temperature on the unit from 20 feet away, that's good! I cannot comment on the alarm features for this device because I use this for my aquarium and so far have had no out of bounds temperatures. I would recommend this for your aquarium because aquarium heaters tend to fail. I lost about 25 fish when an old heater's thermostat broke in the on position and cooked all my fish
