The elastic is not tight around the bit-driver, and it has a small enough diameter to fall through. My solution is to put a pocket clip from an old ink pen onto the bit driver. That eliminates any chance the bit driver can fall through. **Q: Does this convert to regular hex bit size?** A: Yes you can use regular hex bits in this extension.it has a notch in it to accept the leather man bits that are flat. Those bits are a must have for the leatherman as well. I use them and the extension constantly. **Q: Does this fit into the Leatherman surge premium case elastic side pockets without falling out?** A: I have the bit driver on one side and a Fenix 05 (AAA flashlight) on the other of my balistic nylon case for the Charge. **Q: is this extension in any way magnetic?** A: No, it is not magnetic. Now I have the extender and I am absolutely delighted. It is well engineered from a single piece of metal. It fis in the pouches side elasticsted pocket. It fits well in the Skeletool, firmly, no wobble, and the bits fit in the end like normal, you just slip them in. The fitment of the bits is very snug and requires a little brute force to remove. I intend to be buried with my Skeletool just in case the Ancient Egyptians were right, as it is in life, this would be invaluable in the afterlife. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Handy extra *by J***Y on 2 January 2016* Bought to go with my Charge TTI. Extends the screwdriver bit well out from the main body of the tool, making it more useful. Still small enough to be a practical size to carry with the Leatherman. There is a small amount of movement of the bit when inserted, but not a problem. The other end locates very firmly in place. The textured surface gives good grip (enough to use on its own for a screw not needing too much force).
