**Q: Anyone know if this is bird safe?**
A: This is a silicone based nonstick coating NOT like nonstick cookware.  Yes, it is bird safe.Chefs Corner Store

**Q: Is this dishwasher safe?**
A: No- hand wash only. Per USA Pans website, dishwasher voids warranty

**Q: Can i buy just the insert?**
A: Unknown, you might want to contact the manufacturer directly

**Q: How to you get the meatloaf out of the insert?  Shouldn't the handles be on the short ends so you can slice it or remove it easily onto a platter?**
A: I use a spatula and cut the meatloaf in half. Using the spatula I place one half on a platter, then use the spatula to remove the final half. Works fine. I do not use the handle as sometimes there is grease that is dripping underneath.
