Gave this to my father as a gift as he uses wifi adapters often on his laptops, he found the design of the product rather nice as he can move the antenna to point out of the path of his hand so its not clashing with the mouse, i asked him to let me know how it compared to his other wifi adapters and he rated this one very highly among them regardless of never hearing the brand name before, other wifi adapters my father has used tend to "drop out" every now and then and makes surfing the internet irritating when it drops whilst loading, however my father found that this wifi adapter has never dropped out on him so far and upon tests, even found that he was getting better speeds then other more expensive/well known brands, because hes used other adapters in the past he also didn't need to load the software to his computer as it shared the same software as one of his previous adapters, making it a brilliabt and easy product for him to use and enjoy

This adapter does the job i am about 15-20 metres away from the main router.When i first got this i checked my speed on 5Ghz on my computer which only supports802.11n and speed was around 30mbps (pics also provided). I then connected this adapterwhich is 802.11ac and the speed i was getting was unbelievable at first however then i bridgeconnect my to the PS4 which only supports 2Ghz and i was getting over 100mbps.My latency on COD was around 30-40 ms before it was 80-160ms. Also i have no problem streaming etc.Note: PC is placed in a dead-spot hard for signal I used a 1m cable and got the adapter away from the PC out the dead-spot and then i was achieving signal strength around 80 - 95%

This adapter works well but setup was difficult, not helped by instructions that are confusing and incomplete.For Windows OS, the instructions state that the adapter should be plugged in before the software is installed. They then state that, once the software has been installed, the adapter should be plugged in – but it’s already been plugged in if you were following the instructions! From previous experience I know that the software should be installed before plugging in any USB device, and there is a “tip” on the Amazon webpage for this item confirming that the software should be installed before connecting the adapter. But the instructions state that the adapter should be connected first, which is unhelpful.This adapter was bought to use with an ex-corporate HP Core i5 PC running a fully updated Windows 7 Pro OS. The PC has both USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 sockets on the rear panel. After installing the adapter via the USB 3.0 socket it initially seemed to work well, but when I restarted my PC the next day the adapter wasn’t recognised by the PC. After wasting an hour or so trying to get the PC to recognise the adapter I discovered that the solution was to connect it via a USB 2.0 socket. I wasn’t aware of the problems that can occur when a USB 3.0 device is attached to Windows 7 PC/laptop. The adapter is now working very well and the connection is as fast (55-60 Mbps) as by Ethernet cable. However, it would be really helpful if the instructions stated that those using a Windows 7 PC/laptop should connect the adapter via a USB 2.0 socket if they want it to work reliably.

I use this on my desktop to connect to the downstairs wifi. It's 3 meters away from the wifi modem vertically. It has stable connectivity and great speed.

This little WiFi stick was incredibly easy to install on windows. I plugged it and and it just worked, it does come witha cd for drivers but I didn't need it. The device managed to pick up my WiFi signal from a distance of around 15 meters across the house which was great . Overall I'm very pleased and would recommend.Update--- suddenly started to disconnect. Might just be a fault or an update on my pc

This resolved a long term issue that my previous adaptor had, which was failling to connect to default gateway.Comes with a small install disc. Ensure your computer has a CD drive and that drive supports small discs.

After installing the Wifi adapter it would see my internet but not let me connect. Also none of my other wifi adaptors would work on my desktop anymore after installing had to roll back my machine as deleting all traces of it still caused issues. Do not buy

All good so far. No complaints off my Son :) .. uses it with a gaming computer and so far it keeps up with online play, with no lagging :)

WLAN Verbindungen sollen Kabel-LAN Verbindungen ersetzen. Eine Schwierigkeit ist dabei, daß auch die Nachbarn WLAN nutzen und die Frequenzen deshalb mehrfach belegt sind. Abhilfe kann durch Nutzung des 5 GHz WLAN Bereiches erzielt werden. Hier sind weitere Kanäle nutzbar und diese sind nicht so stark belegt wie die Kanäle im 2,4 GHz Band.Der WLAN Chip des USB WLAN Adapters ist von Realtek und heißt RTL8812BU. Er beherrscht die Standards a/b/g/n/ac, ist damit technisch auf dem neuesten Stand. Der Chip unterstützt den 2 Stream 802.11ac Standard und liefert damit bis zu 867 MBit/s auf 5 GHz. Dafür sind zwei Antennen notwendig und dieser WLAN Stick hat eine eingebaute Antenne und eine externe große Antenne. Damit ist wesentlich bessere Reichweiten möglich als mit zwei kleinen fest eingebauten Antennen.Beim Anschluss an meinen Win10 PC wurde der Stick sofort erkannt. Das Einlegen der Installations CD war nicht nötig. Das 5 GHz Band funktioniert aufgrund des AC Standards mit 80 MHz Bandbreite deutlich besser als das 2,4 GHz Band. Wenn man verhindern möchte, daß der Stick sich auf 2,4 GHz mit einem WLAN verbindet, macht man folgendes: In der Systemsteuerung - Netzwerk und Internet - Netzwerkverbindungen lässt sich die WLAN Verbindung auswählen. Dann klickt man auf "Einstellungen dieser Verbindung ändern - Konfigurieren - Erweitert - Eigenschaft: Wireless Mode - Wert - IEEE 802.11AC. Ab Werk steht hier "Auto", was Verbindungen auch auf 2,4 GHz ermöglicht.Ein Test der ping Zeit zum Router liefert fast durchgängig 2 - 3 ms. Der Stick war dabei mit 867 Mbps Datenrate in Kanal 44 auf 5220 MHz mit der FritzBox 7590 in 7 m Entfernung verbunden.Ein Speedtest bei speedtest.net liefert über 46000 kbps als Downloadtempo und ist damit sehr nah an den 48000 kbps, die per direkter LAN Verbindung zwischen PC und Router erreicht werden. Der Ping ist dabei 21 ms, per LAN Kabel werden 20 ms erreicht. Unsere DSL 50000 Leitung kann somit nahezu verlustlos per WLAN genutzt werden.Auf der beigelegten CD ist neben dem Treiber (den Win10 schon an Bord hat) auch ein Utility vorhanden. Mit diesem Programm kann die Antenne optimal ausgerichtet werden, sodass die Balken für Signal und Qualität maximal werden, oder auch so, dass die Signalstatistik möglichst geringe Fehlerrate aufweist.Weil der Stick sehr hohe Datenraten erzielt und problemlos unter Windows 10 funktioniert, gibt es volle fünf Sterne.

Hier ne kurze Bewertung sowie eine Treiberempfehlung bzgl. Linux und Win10.Mitgeliefert wird eine kleine Treiber-CD. Diese kann man bezüglich Win10 einfach in der Packung lassen. In der aktuell vorliegenden Win10-Version (Stand 09.2019) lief des Teil SOFORT ohne den kleinsten Fehler seit 0972019 bis heute.=> Bezüglich Durchsatz, Robustheit und Empfangsqualität kann ich hier wirklich nur volle Punktzahl geben.Bei Linux wird es etwas komplizierter ... aber es klappte dann auch recht einfach ohne FingerakrobatikDie beigefügten bzw. per Link herunterladbaren Linux-Treiber sind ziemlich alt. Daher einfach unter Linux (bei mir ist es momentan Mint19.2) folgendes durchführen:(Treiber fuer WLAN-Modul selbst kompilieren)1. WLAN-Adapter einstecken2. admin-Shell (terminal) oeffnen und in dieser Reihenfolge die Befehle eingeben3. sudo apt-get install linux-headers-generic build-essential git4. git clone https://github.com/RinCat/RTL88x2BU-Linux-Driver.git5. cd RTL88x2BU-Linux-Driver6. make7. sudo make install8. sudo modprobe 88x2bu9. WLAN-Adapter aus- und nach ca. 5sek wieder einstecken10. Adapter wurde jetzt bei mir ohne reboot/sonstiges per Click in TrayBar-Element bzl. Network-Connections nun angezeigtEr läuft nun hiermit auch recht fein unter Linux.Summa summarum:Tolles und absolut empfangsstarkes Produkt zum kleinen Preis, welches perfekt unter Win10 und mit etwas Handarbeit auch unter LinuxMint läuft. Würde ich sofort wieder kaufen !

Jetzt nach 4J. Nutzung mal wieder nachgeschaut, da für das Mainboard jetzt passende M.2 WiFi Karte mit Intel AX210 geleistet. Mit Fritzbox Mesh der 7530AX (bis 1.800 MBit/s 5 GHz) werden für die AOYOOL so real nur 350Mbit/s im 5G Netz angezeigt. Warum das Teil hier mit 5.8G verkauft wird, war mir schon immer ein Rätsel. Liegt ja irgendwie daneben und deswegen nicht volle Leistung? Das Tool dazu lässt sich schon immer oft nicht starten, bekomm das jetzt auch nicht an, um genauer nachzusehen.
