The W 196 Silver Arrow was one of the most famous racing cars produced by MercedesBenz. In both 1954 and 1955 Juan Fangio won the World Championship while driving the W 196. CMC006 has long been sold out but, due to worldwide demand, CMC has decided to reproduce this very popular model. The reproduced model will be a slightly revised version of the original M-006 in that it incorporates some of the new technological repertoire developed by CMC. For example, the model will feature the latest generation of our removable wheels, with aluminum rims and stainless steel spokes. Fangio became word champion with this car in those two years. The drivers Kling, Herrmann and Moss came in second and third in several races with the Silver Arrow as well. All the historical details are incorporated into each precision model that CMC is offering to you. Constructed just as the originals, from the historical drawings and made with high quality materials by hand. This all-metal model is composed of more than 180 parts. As a masterpiece of German engineering, this carefully assembled replica of the Silver Arrow race car is a marvelous conversation piece which we proudly display and continuously admire while informing onlookers of the historical events, not forgetting the fact that the model replica is also made in Germany and true to construction materials, this classic model car is flawlessly built ~ size, weight and detailing features were beyond our expectations.

Incredible model
This model car is a work of art.......... but for a Formula 1 model collector like me is not complete if it doesn't have the racing numbers on it.
