Laptone 300Mbps Wireless N USB Adapter - For Windows XP/ Vista / 7 /8 /8.1 /10, Mac OS And linux with driver CD

This device only detects 2.4Ghz router signals. Apparently made for devices that came without an internet card but a USB port. Trying to imagine what that is. It says that it will goo up to 300Mbps, but that is only if that speed is being transmitted through your 2.4Ghz router--most unlikely. I understand the deep discount and free shiping. Couldn't return this item fast enough!!

Fabulous gadget. Once you get through a little setup that is moderately confusing (I don't understand why technical instructions are written by people who can't write or speak the language they are supposed to be providing an explanation in), this little baby connects you to your wifi modem and you're off and running with the Internet. So much easier than having to install an card inside the box!

Poor quality. Do not install self driver install for windows 7 64 bit when dongle turned on. Tried to go to manufacture website to download driver. No luck! No real information or website for manufacture exists.

This plugged into my SD slot on the desktop and It was running WIFI in a matter of minutes.

I'm not able to benefit from this adapter, because it seems the signals are not strong in my area.

Works great on my old Dell Laptop

Plugged in the Laptone Dongle into a USB port. Didn't have the driver.Inserted the CD in the drive and followed the directions.I think it took less time to install and jump on the internet than to open the package.Shipping package arrived on time. Laptone works as promised.It is great for updating desktop computers over WiFi vs. dial up. What a difference!

I tried to make my upstairs desktop wireless using this adapter to link with the Sky router downstairs but unfortuately the signal strength was quite poor being only 1/20th of that achievable with D'Link home plug type things with the consequence that the internet performance was pretty bad.However I do think that different situations may well give different results and while this is not really suitable for my situation it may suit someone else where the PC is closer to the router. I was one floor up and 7 metres across.

I did have some initial problems getting this to work in conjunction with my BT homehub, and contacted the email support - they got back to me very quickly and were very helpful. Eventually I solved the connection problem by using only Windows XP connection facility, and ignoring the laptone and BT software (hope this helps someone).It does the job now no problem.

The order was delivered before the expected date and it is functiong well as at this moment.This is my second order as I have bought one before without any problem.
