The value of this is you not needing to download and load an sd card on your own. which i'm not sure can be done, but in fairness, i didn't look into it. It reliable loaded the new maps and was compatible with my vehicle. For the money, it seems like a good value.

Once you locate the sd card on your head unit, pop in the sd card and follow the on screen instructions. Now my car has the latest street map updates, avoiding the high cost and wait times at the dealership.
