Pieces are sturdy. I only had two pieces that were peeling just a tad bit. With that being said it is fairly hard. The card enclosed is somewhat small and hard to see the details. Good eyes or a magnifying glass are a plus for sure. Their puzzles are always beautiful, well made and come in gorgeous boxes. SO giftable!
