Works well for Kawasaki KDX 200's
I have two Kawasaki KDX 200's; an air-cooled non-power valved 1984 and a liquid-cooled 1991. Based on review for a 1991 KDX 200, I bought two of these carbs, one immediately installed on the 1991 to replace the worn out 35mm Keihin PWK carb. The stock carb had worn out the intake needle valve seat and any replacement valve would not stop the leaking. So, the carb couldn't be jetted.1991 KDX200: I put this replacement carb on, no jetting changes or tweaks at first, just fitted it. Bike started right up (!) and only a minor adjustment idled well. No leaks no changes. Hallelujah! Wow, even. Later after some riding, I installed a larger main jet. (I bought a jet kit for these carbs as well) I went from the 'as delivered' 160 main jet size to a 165. This bike is now spot on. Very happy and for $45 - it's cheaper than all the jets and needle valve(s) I bought trying to jet the worn-out stock PWK.Now; about the 1984 KDX200: I bought the bike as a non-running parts bike. It came with two carbs: a (worn-out) 38mm Keihin PWK and a new 32mm Mikuni. Neither fit the bike with the manifold that was on the bike. I ordered a new manifold from eBay, and did not want to try the stock Mikuni 32mm size, not knowing if the previous owner had messed with it.With the success I had with the 1991 KDX200, I put this KIPA Air Strike 35mm carb on the new manifold and low and behold: the bike fired right up. Again, wow! Later, after getting the bike trail-worthy, a couple of rides proved this carb was almost right on the money! So, the proof is in the pudding as they say: This carb worked for both the liquid-cooled, KIPS-power valved 1991 KDX 200 and the Air-cooled, non-power valved 1984 KDX 200. Both had minor jetting changes from the original delivered jetting but as delivered, both bikes started right up and do not leak.

Great carb for the price!
My son put on his banshee 350 stock motor and the bike woke up! Wow what a difference putting 2 on does for a stock banshee! Now the cons for some reason they leak… not at the same time and not all the time but it will poor fuel out a few of the 8 hoses. We checked the Float on both carbs twice tweaked just a little and no change. The fuel comes out the tubes that face up. Not the bottom one. 🤷🏻♂️ I’ll take them apart and figure it out.

Good deal?
Seems to be a good carburetor. Had a few minor casting flaws but seem to be just cosmetic. Had what looked like keihin jets already installed. But I re-jetted for the KDX. Bike runs great with it. I haven’t gotten to put much time on it yet. But so far I am impressed with it.

Great for KDX220
I have a 1997 Kawasaki KDX 220 and the old stock PWK33 was so worn out that no matter what I tried, I could not get the jetting perfect (I am experienced in jetting carburetors and know my way around what all of the different circuits control). I decided to give this KIPA carb a shot since the price was right. I immediately opened it up and swapped in my Keihin float/needle, stock jet needle, and then began tuning the pilot and main jets. I ended up modifying the slide to a #7 (it comes as a #6, but you can find info on how to do this with a dremel) to lean it out a bit more at the 1/4 throttle mark than I could with the pilot circuit. The stock Kawasaki R1173 jet needle in clip position #3, #7 carb slide, #50 pilot jet, and #165 main jet, has my KDX 220 running better than it ever has! It's nice and smooth at low throttle for the woods riding I do, but pulls better on the top end too with the bigger carb diameter.BTW, I measured this carb diameter to be 36mm at the outlet, but was able to jet it well.

No adjustment needed!
Was having float bowl issues with my KDX200 carb. Just couldn't get it right. Got this carb to try it out before dropping a bunch of cash on a new OEM carb. Am super glad I did, since I just dropped this bad boy in the bike and it fired right up! No leaks, no issues, jetting seems good for my elevation of 6500 feet. Happy with the purchase.

It appears to be a good carburetor!
I would have liked a Japanese carburetor better than Chinese carburetor. I have not installed it yet, have to fit a throttle cable. The choke unit is different.

Buyer beware
Nothing about it would fit my KDX 200. Sent it back

Not OEM equivalence
Product works ok. Not same as OEM.
